Now Kathleen Sebelius is claiming that Barack Obama knew nothing about the “glitches” that plagued the Obamacare website before its launch.  I’ve been watching the pundits on TV exclaiming in disbelief, “How is that possible?”  I’m not surprised at all – it’s entirely possible and I think for once in her life Sebelius is telling the truth.  Obama didn’t know anything about all the problems and he likely doesn’t know anything about just about everything else going on in his administration.  He’s a figurehead.  A symbol.  A pretty face to march out in front of the cameras and read from a teleprompter when required.  I’ve said this before:  The person running the country is Valerie Jarrett.  How powerful is Jarrett?  She’s the most powerful person in the country. Valerie Jarrett Was Architect of Obama Shutdown Strategy   (Shaka to Scott)  The American people have elected an inexperienced, pot-smoking, inept, community organizer as President.  Twice.  Jarrett, his long-time advisor and right hand, is taking up the slack.  So Obama is either completely incompetent/dumb or lying about how much he actually knows about what’s happening in his administration (Obamacare, Benghazi, IRS targeting, etc.)  Which is worse?

It crashed after a simulation in which just a few hundred people tried to log on simultaneously. Despite the failed test, federal health officials plowed ahead.

How Obamacare Hurts You If You’re Looking for a Job  Many contacts also commented on reluctance to expand due to uncertainty surrounding the Affordable Care Act; some employers cut hours or employees. A number of contacts voiced concern about the uncertainty surrounding future employer and employee healthcare costs. There is anxiety about rising health insurance premiums [among manufacturers], which was attributed to the Affordable Care Act.

Carl Adds:  Today Obama revealed his basis for the “savings” in his healthcare scheme: Patients bring and change their own bed sheets. Just like Cuba! Just kidding. There are no savings. But you might send him the sheets idea. Call 800…..never mind. They aren’t answering.

Rand Paul Pushes Constitutional Amendment on Congress  The Kentucky freshman Republican has introduced a constitutional amendment that would preclude senators and representatives from passing laws that don’t apply equally to U.S. citizens and Congress, the executive branch and the Supreme Court. The amendment is aimed squarely at Obamacare provisions specific to members of Congress and their staffs that became a central point of contention during the government shutdown.

Marco Rubio Introducing Bill To Delay Individual Mandate  He said all he is calling for is a delay on the requirement until the U.S. General Accounting Office certifies the Web site is working and has been functioning for six consecutive months.

Ted Cruz:  ‘Nigerian Email Scammers’ Running Obamacare Website  “You may have noticed that all the Nigerian email scammers have become a lot less active lately,” Cruz said, according to the Houston Chronicle. “They all have been hired to run the Obamacare website.”

A New Court Battle for Obamacare  In a bombshell development that could potentially cripple ObamaCare, U.S. District Judge Paul Friedman ruled that the lawsuit aimed at blocking health care subsidies in states not running their own healthcare exchanges could move forward.

So What To Do If Your Signature Achievement is a Complete Failure??  Spend More Money on it!!

Forbes sets the value of the team at $1.1 BILLION. Management is clearly fawning over Obama – $130,000 is nothing. Disappointing. Discouraging.

Then There’s This:  Colorado Nonprofit Sells Obamacare as Brosurance With Cringeworthy Viral Ad Campaign  A pair of liberal non-profits have teamed up to help smooth over the slow start of Colorado’s health insurance marketplace with an online marketing push that reimagines the classic “Got Milk?” campaign in a way that doesn’t quite do justice to the original.  Seriously.  Here’s the image:

And….Lest we Forget:  30 Years Ago Today Beirut Barracks Bombed The suicide bombing on the Beirut airport barracks for American peacekeepers in Lebanon killed 241 US servicemen — 220 Marines, 18 sailors, and three soldiers. The last time that many Marines died at once was during the assault on Iwo Jima, and the overall single-day casualty toll was the highest for the Pentagon since the first day of the Tet Offensive in Vietnam.
