Hump Day Report: A Not-So-Super Idea
ALOHA, ALL!! Surprise! The so-called “Super” Committee failed to come to an agreement over how to solve the debt crisis. Did anyone doubt that it was set up to fail from the beginning? (If you did then I have some beautiful ocean-front property to sell you in Hawaii for $100.) So now what? It’s obvious that the plan to include the automatic defense cuts was no fluke – Barry and his comrades want to gut our military. (If you doubt that, I have some beautiful ocean-front property to sell you in Hawaii for $1000. Yes, the price is going up.) In the days to come, we’ll learn more about what went on at those “Super” meetings, but here’s a guess: Dems wanted to raise taxes and not touch entitlements. In fact, were entitlements even on the table with either party? Here’s the best article I’ve seen so far on this “Super” failure (thanks to Lee for the link): Defenseless: America in the 21st Century And lest you forget:
And you thought he was gone. Van Jones Reveals Future of #Occupy Wall Street: ‘You Haven’t Seen Anything Yet’ – Common American Journal “Van Jones offered a prediction Wednesday for those who have been watching the Occupy Wall Street movement: “You haven’t seen anything yet.”
First he punted on the Keystone XL pipeline, now this: Obama Bows to Environmentalists; Says “No!” to New Energy Production, Putting Off Creation of 204,500 New Jobs « The Stuttering Messiah “President Obama’s United States Department of Agriculture has delayed shale gas drilling in Ohio for up to six months by cancelling a mineral lease auction for Wayne National Forest (WNF). The move was taken in deference to environmentalists, on the pretext of studying the effects of hydraulic fracturing.”
Once again, it pays to be a FOB (Friend of Barry). Buffett may benefit from Keystone XL pipeline delay – Common American Journal “Killing the Keystone XL pipeline may help one of the world’s richest men get richer. North Dakota’s booming oil fields will now grow more dependent on a railroad the president’s economic guru just bought.”
This Russian news reporter speaks for a lot of us!
Turkey Talk. I got this from a friend who is not a goof-ball. So be aware when buying that Thanksgiving bird: Please be aware that Butterball turkeys are halal certified. We received a turkey from Bob’s employer that is a Butterball & Bob saw something about Butterball being halal certified. He went to the Butterball website & it is true. We returned the turkey for a generic. Publix refused to take the turkey back for an exchange so her went to Winn Dixie & they willingly exchanged it for us.
Halal certified means that when the turkey is killed the butcher must be Islam sane & utter worship words to Allah that I do not know how to spell. Then a muslim prayer must be said over the carcasses as well. Not sure how to spell- a bismuh? The throat is cut- carotids, jugulars & trachea all @ once. Not to gross anyone out, but I am finding more & more halal certified meat @ the store & I refuse to buy it. I refuse to give retailers any money that participate in this if I can help it.
Check out this article from Pamela Geller: Articles: Happy Halal Thanksgiving. Indeed. I found this site: IFANCA: Halal Food Certification “Welcome to IFANCA, the leading Halal-food certification organization in North America. Halal certification gives companies access to Muslim consumers. IFANCA’s Halal Symbol (the Crescent ‘M’) helps Muslims in choosing their goods, assured that what they are buying is Halal without doubt.” And “Halal Certification is the process of having a qualified independent third party supervise the production of consumables, attesting that they were produced in conformity with the preparation and ingredient standards of the halal lifestyle.” Seriously? What is the “halal lifestyle”? From now on, I am boycotting ANY products that have this certification. Look for this:
If you watch one debate, make it this one! GOP Candidates to Debate Foreign Policy, National Security “Tonight at 8 p.m. ET, eight Republican presidential candidates will take the stage at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., to tell America where they stand on foreign policy and national security in a special debate hosted by The Heritage Foundation and the American Enterprise Institute, broadcast on CNN and moderated by Wolf Blitzer.”
Final Thought: “Don’t assume you’re always going to be understood. I wrote in a column that one should put a cup of liquid in the cavity of a turkey when roasting it. Someone wrote me that ‘the turkey tasted great, but the plastic cup melted.’ “Hints from Heloise
GOD BLESS AMERICA – PASS THIS ON – REMEMBER IN 2012!!
