Dumb and Dumber

Truth is stranger than fiction.  In the past few days we’ve seen words coming out of people’s mouths – people who are supposedly smarter than us because, after all, they make and enforce laws –  that defy common sense.   These statements even show a lack of very  basic knowledge.  Check these out….then ask yourself:  what if George Bush or Sarah Palin had said any one of these??  What if they had gone ‘between the two ferns’??  Not a smidgeon of intelligence here.

Ukraine – Why You Should Care

The world is blowing up, most notably the former Soviet Socialist Republic known as the Ukraine is disintegrating before our eyes.  The eastern part of the country identifies with Russia while the western part wants to be part of the EU.  One thing’s for sure:  Obama has no clue how to deal with it.

As happened, here is raw video of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. These first choppers are likely carrying elite Spetsnaz troops (estimated at 500 hundred of a larger invasion force). As US news catches up with coverage on this story over the weekend, they will be the guys with the faces covered to avoid detection and recognition. Ruthless doesn’t do the word justice with these guys. 

A much larger contingent of (125,000) Russian forces are poised just over the border. And CNN does a ‘good job’ of helping make this charade into a civil rights battle. But that is another day.

The best parallel for this could be 1938, and the German invasion of the Sudentenland.
Since taking office, Obama and Hillary Clinton have dismantled the nuclear deterrent around Poland and The Baltics that was envisioned under Reagan.
The US missile defense complex in Poland, also called the European Interceptor Site (EIS), was part of the Ballistic Missile Defense European Capability of the US. The value of such a deterrent became much clearer on August 14, 2008 when Russia invaded 2008 South Ossetia. Who Said That???

For all we see on TV and in papers, few nailed the events of the last week better than the person quoted below.

Oh yeah…remember how Mitt Romney was called out by Obama during the Presidential campaign as being stuck back in the Cold War?  This video is truly revealing when viewed with today’s eyes.
