HDR 196: Cronyism, Corruption and Scandal – Welcome To The Obama White House


ALOHA, ALL!!!  I know we were all waiting with baited breath for Barry to announce his jobs plan and how we’re going to pay for it.  He already introduced his “Buffet Tax” on millionaires – how will this bring down our deficit?  It’s just more class warfare and pandering to his base.  It more appropriately should be called a “Re-Election Tax” since Barry is hoping this “rich people are bad” approach will mobilize the masses to vote for him in 2012.  Reaction to Obama’s plan has been swift:  Ryan: Still Waiting for Credible Plan from President Obama | Committee On The Budget  However, the GOP better get out in front of this ridiculous “plan” and frame the message…otherwise Barry and his minions will effectively use their obstructionist argument against them in 2012.  It could enable Barry to win the election….But this White House has a sword of Damocles hanging over its head that’s ready to fall at any time – corruption.

And This Little Detail:  Isn’t It Unconstitutional For Obama’s Stimulus Sequel To Be Introduced In The Senate? – Common American Journal  “On Tuesday of this week Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid introduced the President’s much-hyped stimulus sequel, officially known as the American Jobs Act of 2011.  Now, whether you’re for the bill or against it, isn’t it illegal for a bill like this to be introduced first in the Senate?”  (Sidenote:  “American Jobs Act” isn’t even the correct name – it has no name since no Congressman sponsored it in the House.  See HDR 195.  But when it comes to Barry and his crew, it’s obvious that rules don’t matter.)

    In regards to my political views, I must also stress that it is not nor has it ever been my desire to appear anti-American or anti western because I am most definitely not. I am however, very anti-corporatism and very anti-fascism and in the words of WW2 dictator, Benito Mussolini: “Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism, because it is the merger of corporate and state power”. This is exactly what we are witnessing now on a global scale and it spells a very frightening and dangerous scenario if the situation is ignored and such corporate power is allowed to continue.

    I am very pro American which is one of the things that makes me as outspoken as I am, but I recognize the reality that the thing that makes the US great is not the Nation itself, it is the American Constitution and the American people, some of whom I count as my dear friends.

    As a responsible citizen of the world I cannot idly stand by and watch the only true beacon of freedom in the world and the freedoms of my friends be extinguished due to the actions of a corporate controlled administration and an irresponsible president who committed electoral fraud to gain office, and whose family has long standing ties to some very sinister people. And I am utterly appalled by the media’s failure to address these issues.

    People would do well to remember the words spoken by former US President Thomas Jefferson: “That we are to stand by a president whether he is right or wrong is not only unpatriotic and servile, it is morally treasonable to the American People.” And of former US President Ronald Regan who stated: “It takes only one generation for a Nation to lose its freedom”

    What happens in America is echoed strongly in Australia and if America falls from within, then so will my country fall, and again, all the signs are there, and now far too many to be ignored. Due to 911, the so called “War on Terror” and laws that have been passed by the current administrations, presently, America, Australia, and Britain are politically in the position of Germany in 1937 whose people were also in denial.

    It is crucial for the entire world that history be remembered and this situation is taken in hand, and for that reason I am, and will continue to be, outspoken about such issues in the name of what is right, regardless of the consequences, and to offer one more quote that I believe can be adapted to fit almost every situation in daily life, this time from Martin Luther King:

    “The Ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy… Cowardice asks the question – Is it safe? Expedience asks the question – Is it Politic? Vanity asks the question – Is it popular? But Conscience asks the question – Is it right?

    And there comes a time when a man must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but one must take it because it is RIGHT!” .

    I’d like to add for your readers that we are taking advantage of a version of the Solyndra scam, namely the fiscally insane tax regime constructed to encourage folks to “invest in” renewable energy. This comes on the heels of a recent trip to the north shore where in a 10-15 mph surface wind, our crony-capitalist electric company’s new wind turbines were turning at a glacial pace of approx. 1RPM. Yes, you had to watch carefully to detect that they were even moving. I’m guessing at that speed they were producing no power whatsoever.

    Anyhow, the second set of photovoltaic panels go the roof of the casa next month. State and federal tax incentives of 2/3 of the price for panels made in China; the controls are made in Germany. Still despite all the tax advantages, breaking even is no sure thing, it takes about 8 years, assuming nothing goes wrong and/or we don’t need a new roof. Oh, and did I mention that our electricity costs 3x the national average of 11¢ per kWh? If your electricity costs are average and your state is as stupid as ours, it’d take nearly 25 years to break even, if ever. If your state is among the wiser, the payback interval would reach out to a half century or more. Good luck not having to have your roof replaced sometime between now and then…!

    If you wondered if all this is a scam, it is. I’m betting that our systems will last for some time — so thanks taxpayers — you got scammed! Your money at play.

    Even with similar incentives in many other states, the payback intervals grow into decades. So unless you don’t get enough props for your Prius or Insight, it’s something to skip….
