Hump Day Report: Home of the Free Because of the Brave!

ALOHA, ALL!  It’s Veterans Day.  GOD BLESS ALL WHO HAVE SERVED!!!  I can think of no better way to honor them than by including Pete Hegseth’s latest, real-life, boots-on-the-ground report from Afghanistan.  THIS is what a patriot looks like!    Afghanistan Update #4: Giving Thanks  BTW, the Marines just celebrated their 236th birthday.  Here’s a great graphic:  HolyCoast.com: Happy Birthday, USMC!

Check out this AWESOME Veterans Day Tribute from the band Madison Rising:

It’s countdown to the Super Committee deadline.  What’s gonna happen?  This is a no-brainer and it was from Day 1.  Defense will be cut.  Happy about that?  While I’m sure certain left-wing zombies (and Ron Paul supporters) are saying “Far out, man….make love not war, ” it’s a disaster.  Like I’ve said many times in the past several years, I don’t believe in coincidences anymore.  Anything coming out of Washington is planned by some very devious individuals who only care about promoting their own agendas – the country be damned!  You MUST watch this video from a Research Fellow at The Heritage Foundation.  It puts it all in perspective regarding defense spending and how DoD has already made more than its “fair share” of cuts.  (Thanks to Lee for the link):

Still think the Super Committee will come together and sing Kumbaya?  GOP accuses Democrats of breaking off debt talks in supercommittee – TheHill.com  ”Republicans have charged Democrats with breaking off talks on the deficit-reduction supercommittee less than two weeks before the panel’s deadline to reach a deal. The GOP accuses Democratic leaders of abruptly reining in their appointees after Republicans made a serious offer to reduce the deficit through tax reforms that would lower tax rates while eliminating or reducing tax deductions.”

Time for Perry to ride into the sunset.  GOP Debate a Death Knell for Perry? | FrontPage Magazine  ”The two big takeaways from last night’s Republican presidential debate are universally-acknowledged: Rick Perry’s embarrassing gaffe probably puts the last nail in the coffin of his campaign and the sexual harassment allegations against Herman Cain have earned him huge sympathy from primary voters.”

More Cain stuff – be sure to read the Ann Coulter article!  I wanna be her when I grow up…..

Video: Veteran Newsman, Sharon Bialek May Have Harassed Herman Cain | Expose Obama

Report: Bialek Fired from NRA for False Accusations of Sexual Assault – Common American Journal

BTW, I’ve made up my mind who I think the GOP nominee should be.  Any guesses?  I’ll reveal at a later time.  In my mind, this person is the clear choice to clean up the floor with B/B S/O (Barry/Barack Soetoro/0bama.)

Ho Ho Ho – How about another tax?  Obama Couldn’t Wait: His New Christmas Tree Tax  ”President Obama’s Agriculture Department today announced that it will impose a new 15-cent charge on all fresh Christmas trees—the Christmas Tree Tax—to support a new Federal program to improve the image and marketing of Christmas trees.”  A tax on Christmas trees to start a new campaign to promote Christmas trees.  Brilliant.

Buckeyes blew it.  (I HATE saying that!)  Defeat of OH Issue 2 Means $1,468 More Per Taxpayer By 2015  ”Matt Mayer of the Buckeye Institute has done the math on what a defeat of Issue 2 will cost Ohio’s taxpayers. Turns out it will cost taxpayers $1,468 more a year by 2015.”

HDR: Fair Weather Friends

ALOHA, ALL!!   Poor Barry – everyone’s abandoning him!  Even his new BFF Warren Buffett seems to be contradicting 0bama on what he’d like to see for his namesake tax.  Turns out dear old Warren wants to see a very high income threshold before his “Buffett Tax” kicks in.  This is quite a change from Buffett’s original opining about how the $1 million threshold seemed fair.  Hmmm…..is Warren having second thoughts about supporting his wonder kind now that his poll numbers are in the tank?  Then there’s Dickie Durbin, who says the Democrat controlled Senate doesn’t have the votes to pass Barry’s jobs bill.  Aw – it’s getting lonely at the top.      Abandon ship? Dick Durbin, Warren Buffett change tone on jobs plan – Common American Journal

Then There’s This Guy:    Robert Johnson is the founder of BET, an 0bama supporter and fundraiser.  He and spoke out against the president’s recent rhetoric demonizing the rich in America:  ”I’ve earned my success. I’ve earned my right to fly private if I choose to do so. And by attacking me, is not going to convince me that I should take a bigger hit because I happen to be wealthy.”

But The Crap From The Tides Foundation Is OK????  Two FL School Districts Refuse to Distribute Constitution Booklets Donated by 9/12 Project – Common American Journal  ”Two Florida school districts won’t be handing out pocket-sized Constitutions to their eighth graders because they were donated by the local 9/12 Project, prompting concerns from school officials about the “opinions and viewpoints” the booklets contain.”

Enter One Very Concerned Mom:    I just received a copy of Marybeth Hicks’ book, “Don’t Let The Kids Drink The Kool-Aid”and am looking forward to reading it….I think.  Not sure I’ll be able to sleep after reading it.

I Guess They Finally Read The Bill.  White House Admits Obamacare Raised Insurance Premiums | The Weekly Standard  ”So what about that $2,500 in [insurance] savings the president pledged? White House deputy chief of staff Nancy-Ann DeParle insists families will see that savings — by 2019.”

Another Excellent Resource From The Heritage Foundation!  First Principles | American Founding, Limited Government, Liberty  It contains tons of resources and must-reads and basic answers on core themes:  the American founding, Constitutional government, progressivism and liberalism and more.

It Just Gets Curiouser and Curiouser.    TOP OBAMA FUNDRAISER OK’ED SOLYNDRA LOAN at DickMorris.com  ”Who arranged the Solyndra loan? A top Obama fund raiser named Steven J. Spinner who, according to ABC, worked to “pick and select fantastic projects” for DOE to fund. During the campaign, he was responsible for raising at least half a million dollars for Obama. Now, he told associates that he “helped oversee the more than $100 billion of loan guarantee and direct lending authority” for DOE’s green-energy lending program. And what a coincidence! Spinner’s wife, Allison’s law firm Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati got $2.4 million in legal fees to handle the legal work in connection with the Solyndra loan.”

Well, Well, Well.  Partisan Trends – Rasmussen Reports™  ”The number of Republicans and Democrats in the country is just about even. In fact, the gap between the parties is the smallest it has ever been in nearly nine years of monthly tracking.”

You Might Be A Racist If (Cont’d):  So, What’s All This “Niggerhead” Brouhaha About? Ah, Activist Journalism. Should Have Known… | All American Blogger  ”In the early years of his political career, Rick Perry began hosting fellow lawmakers, friends and supporters at his family’s secluded West Texas hunting camp, a place known by the name painted in block letters across a large, flat rock standing upright at its gated entrance. “Niggerhead,” it read.”  No, Perry didn’t name it that – be sure to read this story and how Herman Cain was baited into the discussion the smear Rick Perry.

HDR 197: Do You Pay Your “Fair Share”?

ALOHA, ALL!!  It sounds like being Warren Buffet’s secretary is a terrible job, right?  After all, she pays more taxes than her boss.  Even Warren – the so-called “Oracle of Omaha” – says so.  So it must be true.  But wait a minute – it turns out she doesn’t pay more in taxes:   AP fact check: Secretaries don’t pay more taxes than their bosses « Hot Air  Do Buffett and Obama really think we’re going to fall for this bunk??  But according to Barry, this isn’t class warfare.  Um….so choosing the example of a secretary and multi-billionaire mogul is just a coincidence? Right. Meanwhile, here are some facts from The National Tax Payer’s Union:

A couple of great links from The Heritage Foundation:  $1.5 Trillion in New Taxes  and Heritage Responds to Obama’s Debt Reduction and Tax Proposal

Think it’s Only the “Millionaires” Who Will Pay More?  New government fees pepper Obama deficit plan – Common American Journal  ”Air travelers, federal workers, military retirees, wealthier Medicare beneficiaries and people taking out new mortgages are among those who would pay more than $130 billion in government revenues raised through new or increased fees.”

Check out this SEIU puke calling for the need to create a crisis (thanks to Sue for the link):

This is classic Saul Alinsky & Cloward & Piven stuff.  BTW, how many times have you been arrested? This guy talks about how he was really scared the first time he was.  Yet Tea Party folks are extremists??????

And Even Levi’s Calls for Unrest.  Did you hear about the ad pulled from TV in the UK?  Here it is:

You’d think the folks at Levi’s would try to distance themselves from the rioting message, but quite the contrary:  ” Robert Hanson, global president of the Levi’s brand, told Reuters as recently as July that the company couldn’t help but see a correlation between unrest by young people across the globe and its “Go Forth” campaign.”  Brilliant – no more Levi’s for me!

Corruption Continued.  White House offered “guidance” to second witness in LightSquared inquiry   ”A second witness, a head of a federal agency, says the White House also offered him “guidance” by asking him to insert a paragraph expressing confidence in LightSquared’s efforts.”  Then there’s this:  Surprise: Solyndra execs to take the Fifth at congressional hearings next week – Common American Journal  and this:  Issa Wants Special Prosecutor To Investigate “Fast and Furious” Scandal… – Common American Journal

And It Gets More Interesting.  LightSquared | Darrell Issa | House Oversight Investigation | The Daily Caller  ”Citing concerns over alleged White House influence in dispersing loans, California Republican Rep. Darrell Issa announced that the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee would begin an investigation into the wireless startup LightSquared. On C-SPAN’s Washington Journal Tuesday morning, Issa, who chairs the Oversight Committee, named LightSquared along with the embattled solar energy company Solyndra as examples of “crony capitalism.” “I want to see when the president and his cronies are picking winners and losers,” he explained, “that it wasn’t because there were large contributions given to them.”  DARRELL ISSA = MY NEW HERO!!

And One More Video – I HAD to post this one!  Regardless of what you think of Rick Perry, this is powerful!  And it’s the way to beat 0bama…using his own words.  BTW, you’ve likely noticed I’ve been using zeros for the “O” in Barry’s name for quite some time.  I’m glad to see that Perry agrees he’s “President Zero.”

HDR 193: What Do Obama and Madoff Have in Common?

ALOHA, ALL!!  What’s a Ponzi scheme?  The liberal press and pundits are choking on their self-righteous saliva about how Rick Perry keeps calling Social Security a Ponzi scheme.  Guess what?  He’s right.  Here’s a basic characteristic os a Ponzi scheme:  A fraudulent investment plan in which the investments of later investors are used to pay earlier investors.  Sure sounds like social security to me – Bernie Madoff would be proud.  How many of you younger than 65 actually think you’ll get what you paid into social security?  If you do, then vote for 0bama in 2012 because you’re about as gullible as you can get.  Perry defended his stance in an editorial in USA Today:    Perry Op-Ed: I’m ‘Honest’ About Social Security

More Ponzi-ness.  Obama the new Ponzi… | The Black Sphere  Kevin Jackson is a Facebook friend of mine. He’s got some great one-liners in this article:  ”Obama reminded us that he is the exquisite showman minus the show.” And “Obama is a blind-folded man riding a unicycle on the rim of an active volcano wondering where the heat is coming from.”  You gotta read this one!

This is Your Brain Stuck on Stupid…Perpetually.  Debbie Wasserman Schultz: It’s ‘Baloney’ to Say Stimulus Didn’t Work | CNSnews.com  Thank you, Debbie!  When Nancy Nitwit lost her visible position as Speaker of the House, I wondered who the next nitwit would be.  You are a wealth of material – the gift that keeps on giving!!!!

DUH!  Dems starting to think Obama could lose « Hot Air  “The only question remaining will be whether they will watch as Obama drags down Democrats into massive losses in November 2012, or whether they can convince him to step aside so that they can salvage what they can with a different Democratic nominee at the top of the ticket.”

HDR Readers are very alert!  Several of you wrote to me about Barry’s gaffe during his big jobs speech:    No, Lincoln was not a founder of the Republican Party.  I read that this line was “off-teleprompter” so Barry once again puts his foot in his mouth when he goes rogue and doesn’t read what TOTUS tells him to read.  So much for this brilliant person who thinks there are 57 states and we have “corpse” men in the military.  (As an aside….LOVE the looks on Biden’s & Boehner’s faces in this clip!!)  Several of you also sent me this link:    Blog: PBS alters transcript to hide Obama gaffe  And we contribute tax dollars to this so-called news outlet.

PASS THIS BILL NOW!  Obama Said to Send Congress Jobs Legislation Tomorrow  ”Obama is planning an announcement in the White House Rose Garden tomorrow at which he’ll again urge quick passage of the proposal and will send the legislation to lawmakers in the evening…”  The bill went to Congress Monday – Typical Barry tactics:  send it late in the day when everyone is tired.  I’m surprised he didn’t wait until Friday.  Of course, still no insight on how it’s paid for.

A Possible Earthquake in New York?   New York Special Election Could Spell Trouble for Obama – US News and World Report  ”If the Republicans do pick up the seat, it could signal that despite Democrats’ efforts to change the national conversation, public confidence in President Obama is continuing to pull the party down.”  This is Weiner’s old seat – A Republican has not held that seat since 1923.

Progress in That State Up North.  Michigan Takes on Welfare Reform  ”In the national effort to overcome dependence on government, Michigan has just moved one step forward toward ensuring that welfare promotes self-reliance.  On Tuesday, Governor Rick Snyder (R) signed legislation to place a four-year time limit on cash assistance benefits for welfare recipients.”  (Editor’s Note:  A true Buckeye can never say the name of that state, but refers to it as TSUN.)

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO GLENN BECK?  Glenn Beck TV Launches Today, Already Bigger Than Oprah’s Network  ”Glenn Beck launches his much awaited Internet-based program today on his GBTV network and The Wall Street Journal notes that the early subscriber numbers point to a potentially lucrative payout for the former Fox News host.”  UPDATE:  I just saw Beck on O’Reilly’s show – I sure wish Bill would stop stealing my material.  Plus, they were talking about Ponzi schemes!  Geez…..I guess great minds think alike ;-)

Finally, At Least One Person on the “Super Committee” Has Some Guts.  Editorial: Gutting Defense Won’t Solve Debt Crisis – Investors.com  ”Firing a shot across the committee’s bow was Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., who announced to a conservative group Thursday, “I’m off the committee if we’re going to talk about further defense cuts.”

HDR 192: Obama The Orator Cometh!

"Let's see...if I smile and just read from TOTUS they'll think I know what I'm doing!"

ALOHA, ALL!!  Ready for the big speech tonight?  I’m reminded of one of my favorite quotes:  ”Here comes the orator, with his flood of words and his drop of reason” – Benjamin Franklin.   As a Founding Father, Franklin believed that actions speak louder than words.  So let’s see what action Barry takes tonight, or if it’s just more words from an inept bloviator.

If Barry is serious about creating jobs, he’ll change these policies:  Four Ways Obama Has Blocked Job Growth  ”Wonder who’s to blame for today’s stagnant economy? Look no further than 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to see where the buck ought to stop. Though President Barack Obama constantly points fingers at others for America’s economic woes, his policies are to blame for preventing the U.S. economy from getting back on track. Before you watch President Obama present his latest jobs plan in his speech on Thursday, be sure you know the four major measures he has taken to prevent job growth in America.”

What’s In A Name?  You won’t hear the “S” word in Barry’s speech, but it’s stimulus all the same:  Pelosi drops the word ‘stimulus’ – Common American Journal  ”Though the House minority leader and her caucus are still pushing an economic stimulus agenda to save the economy, they’ve radically changed their rhetoric with the hope of winning over voters who saw “stimulus” as close to a dirty word.”

Surprise Guests.  Republicans Invite Would-Be Job Creators to Watch Obama’s Jobs Speech | CNSnews.com  ”House Speaker John Boehner announced on Thursday that he will host more than a dozen private-sector “job creators” in the House gallery during President Obama’s “jobs” speech to a joint session of Congress.”  The CEO of Gibson Guitar will be there.   This should be interesting!

THE EPITOME OF A “FAT CAT.”  Teamsters’ Hoffa Made $300,000 in 2010 | CNSnews.com  ”Hoffa’s union salary in 2010 – the most recent figures available – was $294,285. That figure rises to $368,000 if bonuses and disbursements are taken into account.”

This is Your Brain When it’s Stuck on Stupid.  DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz: Economy Is ‘Continuing on the Upswing’ | CNSnews.com  ”…the chair of the Democratic National Committee, said that the economy is “continuing on the upswing” and that every economist “worth their salt” acknowledges that this is the result of the economic stimulus signed into law by President Barack Obama in 2009.”  Since I’m such a huge fan of Debbie Downer, here’s the video for your viewing pleasure:

REMEMBER ON 9/11!!!  Flag 9/11: Remembering September 11 | The Foundry: Conservative Policy News Blog from The Heritage Foundation  ”As Americans prepare to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the September 11th terrorists attacks, The Heritage Foundation has been busy reminding Congress and the public of the importance of staying the course in the War on Terror. In the past 10 years, at least 40 terrorist plots have been foiled due, in large part, to our enhanced counter-terrorism efforts. But despite this progress, efforts are underway to undermine some of this progress by rejecting the very policies that have kept us safe.”

WHAT’S IN A NAME, Part II?  ‘Don’t call it Ground Zero anymore’ – Common American Journal  Bloomberg doesn’t like that – tuff!  ”Ground Zero originated as a term to describe the site of a nuclear explosion and later was used to refer to the point of any dramatic or violent event. New Yorkers started calling the World Trade Center site Ground Zero shortly after suicide hijackers destroyed the twin towers and killed nearly 3,000 people.”

MYTH:  Rick Perry was an Al Gore cheerleader and chaired his campaign in Texas.  Was Rick Perry Al Gore’s ‘Cheerleader’? – Investors.com  ”Austin consultant George Shipley, who advised Gore’s 1988 campaign, told Politifact in an interview that Perry “made, to my knowledge, one, possibly two press tours, but he was not what I would call that active in the campaign.” Mike Kopp, who did press outreach for Gore, said in an interview: “We didn’t have a chairman in Texas; we didn’t have co-chairs.”  And I sure liked this reply from Perry about the death penalty in Texas:  Rick Perry fabulously defends Texas death penalty | The Right Scoop

I gotta say, Newt was on fire again at last night’s debate!!!

Who Is Rick Perry?

Rick Perry at Texas A&M

This info is from alert reader David, who lives in Texas. Is Perry perfect? Of course not! But he seems like a real person. I especially like the part about the coyote :-)

Who Is Rick Perry?
He is a fifth generation Texan, the son of hardscrabble west Texas tenant farmers – Democrats but conservatives through and through. He grew up in a farm town too small to be on the state map. Life was so hard that he was six years old before his house had indoor plumbing. His mother sewed his clothes, including the underwear he wore to college.

He is an Eagle Scout. After Paint Creek High School, he attended Texas A&M, graduated, and was commissioned into the Air Force where he became a C-130 pilot.

Now 61 years old, he has won nine elections to four different offices in Texas state government. In the first three elections he ran as a Democrat then switched to the Republican Party. He is currently the 47th governor of Texas – a position he has held for 11 years, the longest tenure of any governor in the nation.

He has never lost an election.

Rick Perry was the Lieutenant Governor to whom Governor George Bush handed over the office after winning the 2000 Presidential election. Since then, Perry won gubernatorial elections in 2002, 2004, and 2010, the last time by 55% against a field consisting of a Democrat, a Libertarian, a Green Party, and an Independent.

Since he became its Governor, Texas – “ a right to work state that taxes neither personal income nor capital gains – “ has added more jobs than the other 49 states combined. In the last two years, low taxes and little regulation led his state to create 47% of all jobs created in the entire nation. Five of the top ten cities with the highest job growth in the nation are in Texas. People follow jobs, so in the last four years for which data are available, Texas led every state in net interstate migration growth.

Perry signed ground breaking “loser pays” tort reform and medical litigation rules that caused malpractice insurance rates to fall. Some 20,000 doctors have since moved to Texas.

Texas boasts 58 of the Fortune 500 companies – “ more than any other state. Since May 2011 Texas resumed its pre-recession employment levels. Only two other states and the District of Columbia have done that.

Texas ships 16% of the nation’s export value. California trails at 11%. Of the 70 companies that have fled California so far in 2011, 14 relocated in Texas.

In this year’s Texas legislative season, Perry got most of what he wanted. With no new taxes, a fiscally lean state budget was passed leaving $6 billion in a rainy day fund even as other states around the country struggled to balance budgets and avoid more deficit borrowing. A voter ID bill passed that was designed to prevent ballot box fraud and illegal voting. A bill passed that makes plaintiffs pay court costs and attorney fees if their suits are deemed frivolous.

Perry scored points even in his legislative failures. He failed to get sanctuary cities banned – Texas towns in which police cannot question detainees about their immigration status. The blame fell on the legislature. Perry also failed to get a so-called “anti-groping” bill passed that would put Transportation Security Administration agents in prison if they touch the genitals, anus, or breasts of passengers in a pat down. Federal officials threatened to halt all flights out of Texas airports and the bill died in special session. That endeared Texans even more to TSA employees living in Texas.

Perry jogs daily in the morning. He has no bodyguard with him, but his daughter’s dog runs by his side and he carries a laser-guided automatic pistol in his belt. Last year while jogging in an undeveloped area, a coyote paralleled his jogging route, eyeing his dog. He drew his pistol and killed the animal with one shot, leaving it where it fell. “He became mulch,” Perry said. Animal rights groups protested, but Perry shrugged it off. “Don’t come after my dog,” he warned them.

Recently, Obama asked Perry to delay the July 7 execution of Humberto Leal in order to comply with the International Court of Justice in The Hague and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations. Perry refused. Therefore Obama asked the US Supreme Court to delay the execution because it would damage US foreign relations. The Court refused 5-4 and Perry ordered the execution to go forward as scheduled. Over the howls of diplomats, politicians, and the UN, Leal was administered a lethal injection at 6:20 p.m. Before he died, he admitted his guilt and asked for forgiveness.

The case has special implications for Perry, who is considering a run for the presidency in 2012. Even his critics resent federal interference in a Texas execution, which is related to a state, not a federal, crime – an alcohol and drug-fueled rape and murder 17 years ago by an illegal whose family brought him into the country 35 years ago as a child. The interference hinges not on the man’s guilt, which Leal’s advocates acknowledged, but on a technicality – failure to inform Leal that he could have gotten legal representation from the Mexican consulate in lieu of the court-appointed attorneys who represented him. Independent Texans saw Obama’s interference as another intrusion of federal power into the affairs of a state, which could cost Obama support in other states.

Needless to say, Perry is a hard-edged conservative and a ferocious defender of 10th Amendments rights (“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”) – an explicit restriction of the federal government to only those powers granted in the Constitution. Perry accuses the federal government, especially the Obama administration, of illegal overreach.

Perry said “no thanks” to the feds whose stimulus offered taxpayer dollars for education and unemployment assistance. The strings on “free money” from Washington, he said, would restrict Texas in managing its own affairs. Perry even depleted all state funds to fight recent wildfires before asking Washington for disaster relief. His request has been ignored, which comes across as an unvarnished federal power play, further pitting Perry and Texans against the federal government.

HDR 163: Sarah Palin and Allen West

(Thanks to Frank in Georgia for the image)

ALOHA, ALL!!  The title says it all.  Whenever I start feeling really down about where this country is headed I only need to read, watch or listen to what one – or both of them – has done.  And they always seem to come out with something at just the right time.  So I’m focusing on these two amazing individuals for this issue of the HDR.  You may not like one or both of them for whatever reason….but if everyone in leadership thought and acted the way they do, we’d be a great country….again.

SARAH PALIN - you’ve heard how the New York Times & Washington Post has enlisted their readers to “explore” her recently released emails.  (BTW, I heard the League of Women Voters is participating in this “exploration” – so much for any admiration I may have had for that group.)  But what’s interesting is that this entire effort is backfiring, because all they are finding is a hard working governor, trying to do a good job.  SCANDALOUS!!!  One email that came out during this process really gets to the heart of Sarah Palin and who she is. My friend Ralph shared this with me, and I’m sharing with you.  It’s an email Palin wrote to her family when she found out she was pregnant with Trig and that he had Down syndrome.  Palin wrote it as if God was speaking to all of them.  It’s remarkable (Note that it was published by a UK paper – I doubt you’ll ever see it in the NY Times or WaPo):

To the Sisters, Brother, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends of Trig Paxson Van Palin (or whatever you end up naming him! :)

I am blessing you with this surprise baby because I only want the best for you. I’ve heard your prayers that this baby will be the happy and healthy, and I’ve answered them because I only want the best for you!

I heard your heart when you hinted that another boy would fit best into the Palin family, to round it out and complete that starting five line-up. Though another girl would be so nice, you didn’t think you could ask for what you really wanted, but I knew so I gave you a boy.

Then, I put the idea in your hearts that his name should be “Trig,” because it’s so fitting, with two Norse meanings: “True and “Brave Victory” …

Then, finally, I let Trig’s mom and dad find out before he was born that this little boy will truly be a GIFT. They were told in early tests that Trig may provide more challenges, and more joy, than what they ever may have imagined or ever asked for. At first the news seemed unreal and sad and confusing. But I gave Trig’s mom and dad lots of time to think about it because they needed to understand that everything will be OK. …

This new person in your life can help everyone put things in perspective and bind {you} together and get everyone focused on what really matters. The baby will expand your world and let you see and feel things you haven’t experienced yet. He’ll show you what “true, brave victory” really means as those who love him will think less about self and focus less on what the world tells you is “normal” or “perfect.”…

Trig will be his dad’s little buddy and he’ll wear Carhartts while he learns to tinker in the garage. He’ll love to be read to, he’ll want to play goalie, and he’ll steal mom’s heart just like Track, Bristol, Willow, and Piper did. And Trig will be the cuddly, innocent dependent little brother that his siblings have been waiting for… in fact Trig will – in some diagnostic ways – always be a mischievous, dependent little brother, because I created him a bit different than a lot of babies born into this world today.

Every child is created special, with awesome purpose and amazing potential. Children are the most precious and promising ingredient in this mixed-up world you live in down there on earth. Trig is no different, except he has an extra chromosome. Doctors call it “Down syndrome,” and Downs kids have challenges, but can bring you much delight and more love than you can ever imagine! …

Trig’s mom and dad don’t want people to focus on the baby’s extra chromosome. They’re human, so they haven’t known how to explain this to people who are caring and are interested in this new little Alaskan. … Some will think Trig should not be allowed to be born because they fear a Downs child won’t be considered “perfect” in your world. …

Many people will express sympathy, but you don’t want or need that, because Trig will be a joy. You will have to trust me on this.

I know it will take time to grasp this and come to accept that I only want the best for you, and I only give my best. Remember though: “my ways are not your ways, my thoughts are not your thoughts… for as heavens are higher than earth, my ways are higher than yours!”

I wrote that all down for you in the Good Book! Look it up! You claim that you believe me – now it’s time to live out that belief!

Trig can’t wait to meet you. I’m giving you ONLY THE BEST!

Love, Trig’s Creator, Your Heavenly Father

(Here’s the link to the complete article from The Daily Mail:  Sarah Palin plays God in touching email about unborn son Trig’s Down’s Syndrome  Thanks, Ralph!)

ALLEN WEST - The left really abhors this guy!  A career military officer doesn’t put up with any crap, and West exemplifies career military perfectly.  Here’s the latest video of him speaking to about 500 Broward County Republicans on June 11:

P.S.  Look for Rick Perry to announce his run for the GOP nomination very soon….and look for Sarah Palin to endorse him wholeheartedly!!
