Hump Day Report: Arpaio v. Holder

“Bring It On!!”

ALOHA, ALL!!  Eric Holder’s Department of Injustice is going after Sheriff Joe Arpaio.  The DOI claims it’s because Arpaio violated the civil rights of individuals in Arizona and discriminated against Latinos.  Interesting.  Isn’t it curious that Holder is going after Sheriff Joe but NOT The New Black Panter Party?  Remember this?  

And the bounty they put on George Zimmerman’s head?  

I also wrote in the last HDR about how Holder refuses to go after the “corrupt-o-crats” on Wall Street because they are big money donors to Obama:  Justice for Sale At Holder’s DOJ  Yet Holder thinks that Joe Arpaio, who is trying to protect the citizens of Arizona and attempting to uphold the law, is worth pursuing?  Coincidentally, Arpaio has been investigating the validity of Obama’s long-form birth certificate.  Gee….how convenient.  OMG – Obama Must Go!   It’s this kind of cronyism and witch-hunting mentality that pervades the Obama administration.  That’s why it’s not enough for Republicans to gain control of both Houses of Congress…..Obama doesn’t care about the separation of powers anyhow.  Obama needs to go in November so his entire stench-filled Cabinet is eliminated.

Romney’s Cruel High School Pranks  ”Despite demonstrating zero curiosity over Barack Obama’s college transcripts to check on just how brilliant the academic actually was, the Post now has a big expose on Mitt Romney’s high school career as … a practical joker.”  Wow.  Can anyone say “desperation”????  In contrast….

Flashback:  Obama’s Sordid HIgh School Past  ”Obama, by all accounts, was a habitual drug user in high school. He tried cocaine, he admits in Dreams From My Father; he “tried drugs enthusiastically.”

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!  Washington Post Romney Hit Piece Implodes  ”Timed to drop the day after President Obama’s announced embrace of same-sex marriage, the story set the political world atwitter. But earlier today, Breitbart News reported that the Post had inflated witness testimony.”  And:  Family of alleged Romney Victim Angry Over Exploitation of Story   ”Betsy Lauber, one of John Lauber’s three sisters, spoke with ABC News Tuesday night regarding the accuracy of the story: “The family of John Lauber is releasing a statement saying the portrayal of John is factually incorrect and we are aggrieved that he would be used to further a political agenda. There will be no more comments from the family,” she said.”

Does anyone not think this was a concerted effort on behalf of the lamestream WaPo and the Obama administration?  Yet just like the so-called “War on Women” and “Doggate,” it’s blown up in their faces.  Keep it up, fools!  

324,000 Women Dropped Out Of Labor Force In The Last Two Months  ”This year (in both January and April), only 57.6 percent of the women in the civilian non-institutional population were in the labor force. That is the lowest rate of labor force participation by American women since April 1993, according to historical data maintained by BLS.”  Hey ladies….still think Barry’s da bomb???????

And ICYMI….Putin Opts Out Of G-8 Summit, Cancels Meeting With Obama   ”Putin claimed he was too busy finalizing cabinet appointments to make the May 18-19 G-8 Summit at Camp David. Yet the Obama administration had moved the gathering to the Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland from the planned venue in Chicago partly to accommodate Putin.”  LOL!!  So now the Russian president doesn’t respect the American president.  Can you imagine this ever happening with Reagan?  Or Clinton?  Or even Bush?  Barry wanted “space” and Putin gave it to him.

Hump Day Report: Tales of Two Attorneys General

“Who me? I only take credit for successes. Think I’ll go play some golf now.”

ALOHA, ALL!!  So amid all the ball-spiking, high fives, and other shameless promotion of his “I killed bin Laden” campaign, did you realize the Obama administration was ready to blame the military if the operation failed?  I’m not talking about some after-the-fact, spontaneous blame game, but a formalized report, prepared in advance, that would have put the blame squarely on the shoulders of Vice Admiral William McRaven.  McRaven led the mission that captured OBL:  The Terrorist Hunter On Whose Shoulders the OBL Raid Rested.  Yeah….Preezy wasn’t gonna take any blame if something went wrong.  Former Attorney General Michael Mukasey exposed Obama’s plan during a recent interview with Sean Hannity.  Check this out:  

That video of Mukasey begs the question:  what’s our current AG up to?  Short answer:  no good.  Here’s a longer explanation.  The Chicago Way:  Justice For Sale At Holder’s DOJ  ”Eric Holder has not criminally charged or prosecuted a single top executive from any of the elite financial institutions thought responsible for the financial crash. And why would they? Hump Day Report: The Audacity of Hypocrisy

ALOHA, ALL!!!  Hypocrisy is the state of pretending to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that one does not actually have.  Hypocrisy involves the deception of others and is thus a kind of lie.  Not to be confused with Hippocrates or Hypocorism.  (Wikipedia)  The Obama administration is the epitome of hypocrisy.  OK…yes I know most politicians are hypocritical.  But Obama and his administration make all others look like saints.  And here’s a recent example.  Obama said this in 1996 about how the average American feels about political donors getting access to politicians:  ”They can’t attend a $10,000 breakfast and they know that those who can are going to get the kind of access they can’t imagine.”  Well Barry sure has changed in 16 years:  Hypocrisy and White House Opens Doors to Big Donors  ”Although Mr. Obama has made a point of not accepting contributions from registered lobbyists, a review of campaign donations and White House visitor logs shows that special interests have had little trouble making themselves heard. Many of the president’s biggest donors, while not lobbyists, took lobbyists with them to the White House, while others performed essentially the same function on their visits.”  So step right up, folks!  A mere $35,800 will get you “the kind of access you can’t imagine.”

Why am I not surprised??  Democrats Punt on Senate Budget Bill for Third Year  ”In a stunning backtrack that virtually guarantees Congress for the third year will be unable to produce a budget, Senate Democrats’ top budget writer Tuesday canceled this week’s expected votes on a 2013 fiscal blueprint.”

Too Funny!  I think David is a little stressed:

Voter Fraud, Continued.  This time it’s Ben Jealous, Bill Maher and David Brock:  

Hey Eric Holder – listen to the people!  73% Think Voter ID Does Not Discriminate  ”Most voters consider voter fraud a problem in America today and continue to overwhelmingly support laws requiring people to show photo identification before being allowed to vote.”

BREAKING NEWS!  Issa Says He Is Moving Forward With Contempt Charges Against Holder   ”According to Issa and Senator Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, who is investigating the (Fast and Furious) scandal in the Senate, Holder has turned over only ten percent of the subpoenaed documents necessary for Congressional staffers to conduct their investigation.”

Finally, the icing on the cake is a report from the New York Times that I just came across, which details how the EPA is fining businesses for failing to use a type of biofuel that is not commercially available:  When the companies that supply motor fuel close the books on 2011, they will pay about $6.8 million in penalties to the Treasury because they failed to mix a special type of biofuel into their gasoline and diesel as required by law.  But there was none to be had. Outside a handful of laboratories and workshops, the ingredient, cellulosic biofuel, does not exist:  “A Fine for Not Using A Biofuel That Doesn’t Exist,” New York Times, 9-Jan-2012.

Hump Day Report: How Can Obama Possibly Win? It’s Easy.

ALOHA, ALL!!  This election should be a piece of chocolate cake with strawberries on top.  But it won’t be.  The media are in the tank for Obama, so scratch any semblance of balanced journalism from them.  Big labor is in the tank for Obama, so they will use whatever thug tactics they can to get him re-elected.  Big name celebrities are in the tank for Obama, so they will use their visibility to bring in big bucks.  It seems Barry has the female vote in key swing states, because they’ve bought into the whole war on women crap (see this HDR:  Dumbing Down the Women’s Vote.)  But here’s the big reason Obama could win:  voter fraud.  James O’Keefe (Remember him?  He did the videos exposing ACORN) has an explosive video showing how easy it is to get a ballot – someone else’s ballot – by simply walking in to a polling place.  But the biggest shocker of all….he even pretend to be the Attorney General of the United States, Eric Holder, and pulled off this scam.  (Um…doesn’t say much for the poll workers knowledge of government officials, does it?  But that’s another problem.)  Check this out:  

That’s right, folks…he walked right into Eric Holder’s voting precinct, claimed to be Holder and was welcomed with open arms.  We don’t need no stinkin’ ID!

And look who’s counting the votes:  Bias in new vote-counting system? National security concerns also raised « Klein Online  ”The Drudge Report yesterday ran a feature entitled, “Foreign company buys U.S. election results reporting firm.” The article documented that SCYTL, based in Barcelona, acquired 100% of SOE Software, the leading software provider of election management solutions in the United States.”

Obama’s team has already been working on his re-election for a year .  The Guardian on Facebook  ”For the past nine months a crack team of some of America’s top data wonks has occupied an entire floor of the Prudential building in Chicago devising a digital campaign from the bottom up. The team draws much of its style and inspiration from the corporate sector, with its driving ambition to create a vote-garnering machine that is smooth, unobtrusive and ruthlessly efficient.”  (Sidenote:  It’s no secret that the Facebook founder is in the tank for Obama, too.)

There was fraud in 2008, they’ll do it again (Shaka to Terri for the link.)  Wikileaks reveals Democrat 2008 election crimes  ”The latest activity by Wikileaks dumped some 5 million emails and documents hacked from the database of Stratfor Intelligence. The emails reveal Democrats’ effort to steal the 2008 election.”

Are we trying to emulate Egypt?  Egyptian Cleric: It’s an ‘Obligation to Cheat at Elections’ | FrontPage Magazine  ”Over and over, evidence emerges from Islamic nations that democracy and voting are instrumental means to an intrinsic end: the establishment of a decidedly undemocratic but draconian form of law—Islamic law, or Sharia.”  In the case of the United States, it’s ObamaLaw.

They stuffed ballot boxes….paid off Jesse Jackson….took Russian money.  This year will make all these actions seem like kid’s stuff!  Putin agrees.

Nearly $500K to send Michelle, family to Africa  Yes, this was last year.  But just in case you forgot how “special” the Obamas are: “How much does it cost taxpayers to fly First Lady Michelle Obama, her two daughters and her mother, a niece and a nephew, a hairstylist and makeup artists to South Africa and Botswana to give a few speeches, meet Nelson Mandela, and enjoy a safari on a private game preserve?  The Obama daughters were listed on the manifest as “senior staff.”  (Shaka to Jan for the link.)  Oh yeah, don’t forget Malia’s recent excellent Mexican adventure over Spring Break – with 11 of her BFFs and 25 Secret Service agents.

Former Obama Student: Obama’s Ignorance of Constitution Embarrassing  Seriously?  Someone actually went to a class Obama taught??  ”Oddly enough, Prof. Obama didn’t seem too concerned about “an unelected group of people” overturning a “duly constituted and passed law” when we were discussing all those famous Fourteenth Amendment cases – Roe v. Obama administration diverts $500M to IRS to implement healthcare reform law – The Hill’s Healthwatch  Obama is moving full steam ahead even though the monstrosity could be ruled null and void by SCOTUS.  ”The Obama administration is quietly diverting roughly $500 million to the IRS to help implement the president’s healthcare law. The money is only part of the IRS’s total implementation spending, and it is being provided outside the normal appropriations process. The tax agency is responsible for several key provisions of the new law, including the unpopular individual mandate.”

Hump Day Report: Egypt Sends Israel Passover Greetings

ALOHA, ALL!  In the spirit of the season, Egypt has recognized the Jewish solemn holiday of Passover by sending them a bomb.  Remember when Obama praised the Egyptian uprising?  Remember when he said The Muslim Brotherhood wasn’t anything to be concerned about?  Remember when he threw the Mubarak administration under the bus?  Nice going, Barry.  You are showing your ineptitude yet again.

BBC News – Rocket fired from Egypt hits Israeli city of Eilat  ”Israel says militants have become active in the region since former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was overthrown in February 2011.”

Radicals are now in control of Egypt, something you said would not happen.  In fact, you said this in February, 2011:  ”I think that the Muslim Brotherhood is one faction in Egypt. They don’t have majority support in Egypt.”  Obama: No Fear of M. Brotherhood – Defense/Middle East – News – Israel National News

You sure gave them a warm welcome at the White House.    The Muslim Brotherhood’s Charm Offensive in Washington | FrontPage Magazine  ”the unprecedented access that the Brotherhood’s delegation has been afforded, including meetings with officials at the National Security Council and the State Department, can only serve to boost its domestic legitimacy. Nor did it hurt the Brotherhood’s image that the Obama administration, rather than condemning its decision to run a presidential candidate despite promising to abstain, praised the Brotherhood’s candidate as a more moderate alternative to the Salafist candidate in the race.”

AND WHY DID YOU JUST GIVE THEM $1.5 BILLION?????  KUNA : White House releases USD 1.5 bln aid to Egypt, meets Brotherhood figures – Politics – 05/04/2012  And your mouthpiece Jay Carney also said this today:  ”Anyone who has paid any attention to the post-revolution developments in Egypt knows that the Muslim Brotherhood will be a major player.”  Really, Barry??  You are so out of your league.  If the future of the country wasn’t at stake it would be laughable.

UPDATE – Holder responds to Fifth Circuit judges (but not without sending a not-so-hidden message to Justice Kennedy):  Holder sends letter to Fifth Circuit: Courts are supposed to presume that laws are constitutional, you know « Hot Air  ”…there was no way O wasn’t going to use the letter as an opportunity to plead his constitutional case on ObamaCare. The court wanted a statement of the DOJ’s position on judicial review but Holder naturally gave them a little more than that.”

Hump Day Report: Malia Does Mexico

My kids are off-limits! Unless..."

ALOHA, ALL!!!  So with all the news this week, here’s a blockbuster story you never heard:  Malia Obama took a Spring Break vacation to Mexico.  I know….why such a big deal?  Well, it MUST be a big deal because all the news outlets have either hidden or scrapped the story!  Why would they do that, you say?  Think about it:  the country is suffering through a bad economy.  Gas prices are ridiculously high.  Unemployment and under-employment remain troubling.  The deficit is at all-time high.  Yet Barry is out promoting himself as one of the people …the best hope to get us out of our slump.  Can you imagine if after reporting one of his fundraiser, er, energy speeches the next news story showed Malia tanning on a Mexican beach?  (Oh, by the way, you’re paying for Malia to frolic in the sun with her friends and 25 Secret Service agents.)  What’s troubling is that this story was initially reported and then scrubbed from numerous sites (so much for the most transparent administration in history.)  OK…kids are off-limits?  Then why does Barry trot them out when it’s to his political advantage (like the smiling family on the cover of a magazine) but squashes a story that might make he and his family look out-of-touch?  Oh yeah….Mexico?????  Would you let your teenaged daughter go there for Spring break?  I guess if a couple dozen armed agents went along for the ride….  The Troubling Things The Malia Obama Spring Break Story Reveal – Investors.com

Barry’s younger years.  A story surfaced last week about how a young Barack Obama was supported by Bill Ayers parents to attend Harvard.  Sound outrageous?  NOTHING sounds outrageous to me anymore!  Postman: Ayers family put ‘foreigner’ Obama through school  ”A retired U.S. Postal Service carrier who delivered mail to Tom and Mary Ayers in a Chicago suburb in the late 1980s and early 1990s and claims to have met Obama in front of the Ayers home emphatically says yes to all three questions.”

Ya Gotta Have Friends!  Biden, Wasserman Schultz, Holder and Axelrod are way up there with Barry and it’s easy to see why:

Hump Day Report: Lies, Damned Lies

ALOHA, ALL!!  It’s been an interesting couple of days.  I attended a Heritage Foundation event last night with the incredible Dinesh D’Souza as the speaker.  I participated in a blogger conference call yesterday morning with members of the House Financial Services Committee.  And I attended a luncheon yesterday where Senatorial candidate Linda Lingle gave the keynote address.  (More on all these below.)  But the one story that keeps rising to the top (or more appropriately, falling into the sewer of political filth) is Eric Holder’s “Fast and Furious” fiasco.  Holder has no shame….he has lied and stonewalled about this botched operation for a full year and now it looks like it’s all finally catching up with him.  He may very well be held in contempt of Congress:  House Considers Contempt Charge Against Holder in Fast and Furious Case   Why should Holder be held in contempt?  Check out this graphic (click on it to enlarge it):

So out of 80,000 documents related to Fast & Furious, Holder has released only 6,000.  Investigators have been denied access to 48 of 70 officials involved in the operation – denied access???  And Holder has ignored – ignored? – 66% of subpoenas.  Why are we even talking about this?  Holder needs to be kicked out of office immediately!  This will blow you away:

The hardest working committees in government.  I mentioned I had a blogger call with some of the folks on the House Financial Services Committee.  They and  the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee (the one investigating Fast & Furious) have their hands full with all the monkey business going on with this administration and its cronies.  The topic today was MF Global – turns out they had a “break the glass” plan to pull the wool over people’s eyes:  MF Hearings Focus on Public Face, Internal Worry – WSJ.com

There was a surprise question in yesterday’s conference call.  Cathy McMorris Rodgers | Vice Presidential Surprise | The Daily Caller  ”The daughter of produce farmers who operated a fruit stand, she was the first member of her family to attend college. She earned her MBA from the University of Washington in 2002. By the age of 24, she was a member of the state House of Representatives. Married to a retired U.S. Navy commander, McMorris Rodgers is also one of only eight women to have ever given birth while serving in Congress, and the only woman who has done it twice.”   Can you say accomplished?  How about multi-tasker?  I could tell by her reaction she was surprised by the question, but it sure sounds like a good one to me!

Hawaii might elect a Female Republican Senator!  Yes, this is big news, folks.  There is a good chance Hawaii could have a Republican Senator for the first time in 35 years.  Yes, you read that correctly.  And its first female Senator.  Hawaii’s last Republican Senator was Hiram Fong, who was voted out of office in 1977.  Linda Lingle, former Hawaii Governor, is running to fill the seat of retiring Senator Dan Akaka (he’s been there since 1976 and is 86 years old.)  Keep your fingers crossed, folks.  You may think this place is paradise, but believe me, it’s far from perfect.

Dinesh D’Souza!  If you ever get a chance to hear him speak, go.  His book, “The Roots of Obama’s Rage” was a long-time best seller (which irritated the White House no end.)  Dinesh is brilliant and he has 0bama’s motivations pegged perfectly.  I told him after his talk that I think it takes someone who has experienced living in another country to truly recognize what 0bama is all about.  Those of us who grew up in the United States have no radar for dictatorial leaders.  We’ve been sheltered.  We assume our politicians are pro-American.  Big mistake.  (Shaka to the Heritage Foundation for hosting this outstanding event.)

Hump Day Report: Elections Have Consequences

ALOHA, ALL!!!  I know you’ve heard it many times:  “This is the most important election of our lifetimes.”   Get used to hearing it because it’s true.  It was said of the 2008 election and guess what?  It was true then, but people didn’t pay attention.  After 4 years of this administration, the 2012 election will determine if we correct the mistakes or head off the cliff.  Look what we’ve gotten with Barry/Barack Soetoro/0bama:  

But wait…..there’s more!!!!  Is our military stronger?  Are you as free as you were 4 years ago?  Is the United States respected around the world?  (NOTE:  I don’t give a rip if they like us – do they respect us?)  Do you feel confident this country is headed in the right direction?  So you see, it’s not OK to just sit back and claim you’re “too busy” or “can’t stand politics.”   If you don’t get involved this year, you have no right to complain if we get another 4 years of disastrous “leadership” from Barry.

0bama administration does another Friday afternoon dump.  New Docs Show Holder Knew About Brian Terry’s Murder Within A Day | Western Journalism.com  ”Attorney General Eric Holder’s Department of Justice dumped documents related to Operation Fast and Furious on congressional officials late Friday night. Central to this document dump is a series of emails showing Holder was informed of slain Border Patrol agent Brian Terry’s murder on the day it happened – December 15, 2010.”  So are you ready to dump all of them in November?????

Hump Day Report: Kimjongilia and Other Nonsense

Aloha, All!  I know…I said I wasn’t going to post as much the next couple of weeks, but Holy Jingle Bells….so much going on!  My Mom called me a little while ago, laughing uncomfortably.  She and I have the same name (Gilia.)  Guess what?  The late Dear Leader of Korea had flowers named for him using OUR name.  That’s right….the name that I share with my mother has been desecrated.  A Japanese botanist cultivated a Gilia flower into a begonia and named it after Kim Jong Il for his 46th birthday.  Here’s the commemorative song:

ALOHA, ALL!!  You’d think the 0bama administration would have been embarrassed and humbled by the Solyndra fiasco.  Barry himself should have been deeply troubled by wasting so much of the American people’s money on an eco-bomb.  Any ethical President would be.  But not this one.  In fact, it appears Solyndra was just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the 0bama administration’s unwavering love for all things green – no matter the cost.  Here’s the latest idiotic scam:   Obama Makes Navy Overpay For Green Jet Fuel – Investors.com   “…a member of Obama’s presidential transition team, T. J. Glauthier, is a ‘strategic advisor’ at Solazyme, the California company that is selling a portion of the biofuel to the Navy. Glauthier worked — shock, shock — on the energy-sector portion of the 2009 stimulus bill.”  And more shock – Solazyme got $22 million from 0bama’s stimulus.  Ho, ho, ho – Barry sure likes to spread the wealth to his friends with our hard-earned money.

Unreal.  Debbie Wasserman Schultz proves she’s delusional.  DNC Chair Falsely Claims Unemployment Has Not Increased Under Obama | CNSnews.com  ”Contrary to Rep. Wasserman Schultz’s claims, the unemployment rate rose for the first 10 months of Obama’s presidency, peaking at 10.2 percent before remaining in the high 9 percent range for the majority of 2010.
