HDR 198: Deja View – Another Shutdown Looms?
ALOHA, ALL!! Here we go again. Last night the House passed a spending bill and today the Senate (i.e. Harry Reid) killed. Both Houses are in recess next week because of the Jewish Holidays. Check out Queen Michelle’s Bling at a Fundraiser for Barry: First Lady Wore Katie Loftis Cuff This was in New York Tuesday night. Needless to say, the “people’s” First Lady isn’t feeling their pain – those bracelets are worth more than a lot of people make in a year. My question is: what’s with the kiss? She acts like she’s kissing her halitosis afflicted grandfather.
BIG MAHALO to dogzilla at Common American Journal! Romney Gets a Big Endorsement. Issa endorses Romney « Hot Air “Score this as two House conservatives this week joining Team Mitt. First came anti-establishment firebrand Jeff Flake, and today another Republican star, Darrell Issa, will add his endorsement, according to Politico.” And the pundits seem to think that Herman Cain and Rick Santorum won last night’s GOP debate. So here’s the thing: all of us have probably been in situations like this before where a group photo is taken and at the last minute, someone makes a silly gesture or thinks the photographer says “wave” instead of “smile.” *pregnant pause* At any rate, group photos are rife with unexpected outcomes. I’ll give Barry a pass on this. But why isn’t anyone focusing on the fact that he was meeting with the U.N.’s Open Government Partnership????? What else is he getting us into? On the surface, it sounds like a worthy goal…openness and transparency in government. But what does it really mean? Why do I think it’s going to be yet another UN scheme to try and extract money from the United States???? Sorry so cynical.
But I’m NOT Giving Him A Pass For This: New gaffe: Obama hails America’s historic building of ‘the Intercontinental Railroad’ – latimes.com He made that brilliant statement at a speech he gave at the Brent Spence Bridge, which spans the Ohio River between Cincinnati OH & Covington KY. Only problem with speaking there is: Obama touts jobs plan at Ohio bridge that won’t qualify – Patriot Update HAHAHAHA!!!!
Do You Pay Your “Fair Share?” Part Deux. Here’s a great article from the Patriot Post: Taking Down Socialist ‘Tax Fairness’ Rhetoric – Alexander’s Essays – PatriotPost.US And another nifty little graphic. “The bottom line in regard to taxes and debt is this: Raising taxes removes revenue from the private sector, which suppresses economic growth and job creation. Cutting taxes increases revenue in the private sector, which promotes economic growth and job creation”:
Final Thought: “My neighbor’s two dogs have created more shovel-ready jobs than Barack obama” Presidential GOP candidate Gary Johnson UPDATE: Did Johnson steal the line from Rush Limbaugh? Did Gary Johnson Steal Rush Limbaugh Joke? He Says No. | Video | TheBlaze.com
