HDR 163: Sarah Palin and Allen West

(Thanks to Frank in Georgia for the image)

ALOHA, ALL!!  The title says it all.  Whenever I start feeling really down about where this country is headed I only need to read, watch or listen to what one – or both of them – has done.  And they always seem to come out with something at just the right time.  So I’m focusing on these two amazing individuals for this issue of the HDR.  You may not like one or both of them for whatever reason….but if everyone in leadership thought and acted the way they do, we’d be a great country….again.

SARAH PALIN – you’ve heard how the New York Times & Washington Post has enlisted their readers to “explore” her recently released emails.  (BTW, I heard the League of Women Voters is participating in this “exploration” – so much for any admiration I may have had for that group.)  But what’s interesting is that this entire effort is backfiring, because all they are finding is a hard working governor, trying to do a good job.  SCANDALOUS!!!  One email that came out during this process really gets to the heart of Sarah Palin and who she is. My friend Ralph shared this with me, and I’m sharing with you.  It’s an email Palin wrote to her family when she found out she was pregnant with Trig and that he had Down syndrome.  Palin wrote it as if God was speaking to all of them.  It’s remarkable (Note that it was published by a UK paper – I doubt you’ll ever see it in the NY Times or WaPo):

To the Sisters, Brother, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends of Trig Paxson Van Palin (or whatever you end up naming him! 🙂

I am blessing you with this surprise baby because I only want the best for you. I’ve heard your prayers that this baby will be the happy and healthy, and I’ve answered them because I only want the best for you!

I heard your heart when you hinted that another boy would fit best into the Palin family, to round it out and complete that starting five line-up. Though another girl would be so nice, you didn’t think you could ask for what you really wanted, but I knew so I gave you a boy.

Then, I put the idea in your hearts that his name should be “Trig,” because it’s so fitting, with two Norse meanings: “True and “Brave Victory” …

Then, finally, I let Trig’s mom and dad find out before he was born that this little boy will truly be a GIFT. They were told in early tests that Trig may provide more challenges, and more joy, than what they ever may have imagined or ever asked for. At first the news seemed unreal and sad and confusing. But I gave Trig’s mom and dad lots of time to think about it because they needed to understand that everything will be OK. …

This new person in your life can help everyone put things in perspective and bind {you} together and get everyone focused on what really matters. The baby will expand your world and let you see and feel things you haven’t experienced yet. He’ll show you what “true, brave victory” really means as those who love him will think less about self and focus less on what the world tells you is “normal” or “perfect.”…

Trig will be his dad’s little buddy and he’ll wear Carhartts while he learns to tinker in the garage. He’ll love to be read to, he’ll want to play goalie, and he’ll steal mom’s heart just like Track, Bristol, Willow, and Piper did. And Trig will be the cuddly, innocent dependent little brother that his siblings have been waiting for… in fact Trig will – in some diagnostic ways – always be a mischievous, dependent little brother, because I created him a bit different than a lot of babies born into this world today.

Every child is created special, with awesome purpose and amazing potential. Children are the most precious and promising ingredient in this mixed-up world you live in down there on earth. Trig is no different, except he has an extra chromosome. Doctors call it “Down syndrome,” and Downs kids have challenges, but can bring you much delight and more love than you can ever imagine! …

Trig’s mom and dad don’t want people to focus on the baby’s extra chromosome. They’re human, so they haven’t known how to explain this to people who are caring and are interested in this new little Alaskan. … Some will think Trig should not be allowed to be born because they fear a Downs child won’t be considered “perfect” in your world. …

Many people will express sympathy, but you don’t want or need that, because Trig will be a joy. You will have to trust me on this.

I know it will take time to grasp this and come to accept that I only want the best for you, and I only give my best. Remember though: “my ways are not your ways, my thoughts are not your thoughts… for as heavens are higher than earth, my ways are higher than yours!”

I wrote that all down for you in the Good Book! Look it up! You claim that you believe me – now it’s time to live out that belief!

Trig can’t wait to meet you. I’m giving you ONLY THE BEST!

Love, Trig’s Creator, Your Heavenly Father

(Here’s the link to the complete article from The Daily Mail:  Sarah Palin plays God in touching email about unborn son Trig’s Down’s Syndrome  Thanks, Ralph!)

ALLEN WEST – The left really abhors this guy!  A career military officer doesn’t put up with any crap, and West exemplifies career military perfectly.  Here’s the latest video of him speaking to about 500 Broward County Republicans on June 11:

Final Thought:  “It is a happy circumstance in human affairs that evils which are not cured in one way will cure themselves in some other.” ~ Thomas Jefferson, letter to John Sinclair, 1791

GOD BLESS AMERICA – PASS THIS ON – REMEMBER IN 2012!!

P.S.  Look for Rick Perry to announce his run for the GOP nomination very soon….and look for Sarah Palin to endorse him wholeheartedly!!

I have lived part time in TX for 25 years. Rick Perry is a real conservative, but he is also capable of appealing to centrists. His resume is undeniable. Jobs and housing markets across TX occupy the top five. TX added more jobs since 1/1/09 than all other 49 states combined. The influx continues. Perry has been the Governor since Bush went to DC. He would crush Obama in a debate. He would pare down federal government without hesitating. He is smart, articulate and camera friendly. His biggest concerns should be the mess he would inherit and his ‘Bush’ affiliation.

Plus, Perry has military experience. At least one member of the 2012 ticket needs to be a military male to 1. contrast with Obama-Biden; 2. offset concerns if an estrogen factory is the other member of the ticket (sorry, absolutely no Palin-Bachmann tickets this time); and 3. have at least one member of the ticket personally trained to face Oba-thugs. 2012–“Bullets over ballots.”

But his real weak spot will be illegal aliens. He opposed the AZ law strongly, and is definitely channeling on steroids his predecessor as governor on the matter. Don’t worry about the “Bush” affiliation–for the GOP to have a chance, by November 2012 the identity politics will have to have morphed in our favor enough to cancel out any such issue for an Obongo opponent–“His parents are both White,” will be the only affiliation issue.

(And to answer the burning question: No, if Fed banker-turned-low-grade pizza maker Herman Cain gets the nomination, it will mean conservatives are still so White Liberal Guilt-ridden they will actually reelect Obama. Thus, Cain would be both a measure of the Right’s move to the Left and a cause of the most fundamental shift to the Left of any Western country since the Communist terrorists–aka Blacks–took control of the once-Republic of South Africa.)

I remember that Trig email from “Going Rogue” back in 2009. As stirring now as it was back then.

Allen West will speak that ACT! for America National Conference in Washington, DC., June 22-24. I’ll be there, and hope to get a pic.

90-10 Rick Perry won’t run. He’s said he won’t. Somehow the idea of him running conjures of images of Michele Bachmann’s comical run (though at least he’s won a statewide election–Bachmann WILL lose Minnesota)–though he’s in vastly better shape than Bachmann (politically, that is–physically she has him beat BIGTIME! HEE HEE!), he’s simply not in position to make a run. He’s too out of the national limelight. Chris Christie running makes almost as much sense. But at least all of those three would be more qualified than Herman Cain if he wasn’t Black.

On a related point: Major parties should adopt a rule that in order to run for President, one must have won either statewide office or a war.

Lee – if you get a picture of Allen West – or video – be sure to send it! And I think Perry WILL run….I think Sarah will convince him to.

    • Lee says :

Bachmann is apparently officially in the race. Gilia, this makes your theory of Perry running with a Palin endorsement more likely, and Palin running far less likely. Women are jealous of one another, but those two wouldn’t want a direct head-on conflict. Plus, Palin is both woman enough and smart enough to not back Bachmann. I remain doubtful of a Perry run, though, as he’s simply too much of a dark horse (with all due respect to Herman Cain).

How about a dozen experts on .pdf documents taking a serious look at Barry’s supposed long-form b/c @ whitehouse.gov? It simply falls apart when opened in Illustrator… meaning it’s not what it’s said to be. Yet Palin gets this attention? What a joke.

    • giliar says :

And there is so much of Barry that needs to be examined with a fine toothed comb! Actually, even a non-biased look with a wide toothed comb would find all kinds of things. HInt: who is Harrison J. Bounel? Stay tuned…..
