HDR 151: See Ya Later, Alligator

ALOHA, ALL!!!  So I return home from Europe, land in the good old US of A, turn on my non-EU-friendly “smart” phone, and what do I see?  Stories about moats & alligators.  Hmmmm…….I’m reminded of how the people in Italy are now laughing at 0bama (of course, they have room to talk with Berlusconi.)  Yes, jokes, snide comments and unflattering remarks about our illustrious leader are now commonplace in Europe.  Where’s the love???  Not long ago they hailed him as if he were the second coming of Christ (note:  that pre-election appearance in Berlin with tens of thousands was also a free rock concert.)  In fact, the news coverage of 0bama is much more critical in Europe than in the US.  Amazing what happens when the media aren’t attached at the hip to the administration.  They realize he’s pathetic and aren’t afraid to express it.  We have a serious immigration problem in our country and he mocks Republicans.  Way to go, Barry/Barack.  He didn’t just mock Republicans in his remarks, but the vast majority of people in this country who want the border fixed.  Is he really that stupid?  2012 can’t get here soon enough!  American Thinker: Yes Mr. President, I Do Want Alligators in My Moat

Little known facts from the above article:  “In addition to the more than $500,000 that Obama spends on speechwriters, he also pays up to $100,000 to an outside public relations firm that he apparently uses for teleprompter lessons, “speech preparation training,” “speech writing services,” and “speech coaching services.”  Can anyone think of a good bumper sticker?

“Game” on!     Alligator | Mexico Border | Obama | The Daily Caller  ““I actually think a moat might be a very good idea and I’m wondering how many alligators it would take to secure the entire border,” Rep. Joe Walsh says in a May 11 letter to Obama.”

And look who’s crossing the border:  As Obama Makes Jokes About The Border, Terrorist Admits to Sneaking 7 Al-Qaeda Members Across It | Red White Blue News

0bama on immigration – only the overseas papers tell it like it is.  Immigration reform: Obama heckled by Hispanic and Asian voters | Mail Online  Be sure to check out the reader comments at the end of the article.  It turns out that Europe isn’t smitten with 0bama anymore.  Like I said above, where’s the love?

Lt COL Terry Lakin is released.  Army doctor freed to focus on family, medical career  “Terry Lakin was released (Friday) from Ft. Leavenworth, where he served almost six months of prison time for refusing orders over his doubts about Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president, and told WND that he is going to focus on his family first, then his church and medical career.”  It’s about time he’s released.  Meanwhile, we have a feckless president who ruined a good man’s career.

POOP (Particulars of 0bama’s Presidency):  This from the Patriot Post:  “If you think I’m being unfair to liberals, let me remind you that when Obama’s predecessor was in office, not a day went by when the MSM didn’t let us know how many American soldiers were dying in Bush’s wars. Garry Trudeau even devoted Sunday editions of Doonesbury to listing the names of the fallen. Anyone find it odd that now that Obama is in charge, you don’t get a daily, weekly or even monthly, update of numbers and names? Well, just for the record, nearly 1,500 American warriors have died in Afghanistan over the past 10 years, with two-thirds of the fatalities occurring since it became Obama’s war in 2009!” –columnist Burt Prelutsky

Bibi to address Congress.  PM Netanyahu will address Congress May 24 – Common American Journal  It took Boehner – not Nancy Nitwit –  to invite him.  Boehner:  “America and Israel are the closest of friends and allies, and we look forward to hearing the Prime Minister’s views on how we can continue working together for peace, freedom, and stability.”

Good one:  “Osama Bin Laden’s supporters want to rename the Arabian Sea where his body was dumped Martyr Sea. Really? Martyr Sea? Hiding in your bedroom for six years? How about Chicken of the Sea?” –comedian Jay Leno

Final Thought:  “Thanking Obama for killing Bin Laden is like going into McDonalds and thanking Ronald McDonald for the hamburger.  It’s the guy cooking the burger that should get the credit, not the clown.”  (Thanks to Steve for this perfect analogy!)
