HDR 84(1): Another (Almost) Man-Caused Disaster

ALOHA, ALL!! Looks like we dodged a bullet once again.  This time, it was a botched-up car bomb.  If you’re keeping track, we’ve had 3 failed terrorist attacks in recent months (shoe, underwear and car) and one successful one (Ft. Hood.)  Yet the lamestream media and even the administration refuse to call it what it is:  ISLAMIC TERRORISM.  It was interesting to see how some in public office and the media actually lamented the fact that the Times Square suspect wasn’t a Tea Party person:  Bloomberg proves himself to be a fool and should resign and MSNB frustrated that Times Square bomber is a Muslim In fact, Pakistani-born Faisal Shahzad held dual citizenship to both Pakistan and the U.S.  This punk recently returned from Pakistan where he learned to make bombs.  He was on the plane, ready to head to Dubai when he was arrested…even though he was on the “no-fly” list.  Sorry, 0bama and crew, you didn’t thwart anything here – you got lucky, once again! Wake up and smell the Pentaerythritol tetranitrate (PETN).  Do more Americans have to die before you take the Islamic terror threat seriously?

Meanwhile, Back at the Gulf.  It took 0bama 12 days to go down to the Gulf.  Meanwhile, his mouthpieces (like Napolitano) all parroted how they had been responsive since “day one.”  Really?  There was a protocol in place (something called fire booms) for handling such disasters but no authorization was given.  Why?  Maybe because of this:  Obama the top recipient of donations from BP Or maybe….just maybe…0bama thought it was OK to let this fester for awhile so he could then backtrack on off-shore drilling.  Sure helps promote Cap & Trade & the green agenda.  Aw – he wouldn’t do that, would he? Obama doesn’t play games like that….

Wow – Arizona is on a roll!!! Arizona to allow concealed weapons without permit – Yahoo! News.  And a man in Buckeye, AZ (LOVE the name of that town 😉 recently showed why carrying a weapon is a good thing: Defensive use of firearms

Lots of protests over Arizona’s immigration law last weekend.  It’s a good thing they aren’t violent like those Tea Party people:  Riot breaks out in downtown Santa Cruz Things got pretty dicey for Dear Leader when he spoke in Quincy Illinois last week.  Check out these pictures of the dangerous grannies!!!  SWAT team called out on Tea Party protesters I’m so glad the cops in riot gear and the snipers were there (no, I’m not kidding – you can seem them in the background in these photos.)  These people look very menacing!

Don’t believe the stories in the lamestream media about how all Hispanics are against Arizona’s law:  More Americans of Hispanic descent come out against illegal immigration

This Week’s LOL Moment – when Mexican president Felipe Calderon criticized Arizona’s immigration law, saying it opens the door “to intolerance, hate, discrimination and abuse in law enforcement.”  Hey, Felipe…have you looked at your own laws on illegal aliens?  Michelle Malkin has:  How Mexico treats illegal aliens This is probably my favorite part:  The Mexican government will bar foreigners if they upset “the equilibrium of the national demographics.”  Upset the equilibrium?  Now that’s what I call racial profiling!

Four Dead In Oh-Hi-O.  This week marks the 40th anniversary of the Kent State anti-war protests.  Since I was a senior in high school at the time – and Kent State is in Ohio – I vividly remember the day the four kids were shot by Ohio National Guardsmen.  Did you know the Guardsmen were fired on first?  Funny thing…this side of the story is only coming our now and it’s chilling.  It turns out the Kent State protests and riots were well planned and well organized, and there is FBI evidence to prove it:  New Light Shed on Kent State Killings The progressives haven’t changed since then – they are still violent, dangerous subversives.  They’ve just become more sophisticated and cunning.

This Week’s Rising Star IsSean Duffy He’s running for Congress in Wisconsin’s 11th district.  Sean is a district attorney and a lumberjack athlete (not sure what that is but it involves log-rolling!)  Sean is the 10th of 11 siblings and has 5 kids of his own.  He’s pro-life, pro-second amendment, and a strong military supporter. He does not support 0bamacare.  Sean also thinks the current tax code should be scrapped for a flat tax. Sounds great to me!  Current Rising Star Tally: Katherine Jenerette (Congress-SC), Allen West (Congress-FL), Les Phillip (Congress-AL), Steve Stivers (Congress-OH), Tim Burns (Congress-PA), Christine O’Donnell (Senate-DE), Dan Benishek (Congress-MI), Linda Goldthorpe (Congress-MI), Ilario Pantano (Congress-NC), Charles Djou (Congress-HI), John Willoughby (Congress-HI), Star Parker (Congress-CA).  Stay tuned for more!

Hot Air in Massachusetts.  Now that Ted Kennedy is gone, Nantucket Sound is getting a wind farm.  It’s the first offshore wind farm approval in the country, and the Kennedy family fought it for years.  Apparently, they were concerned that it would “mar” the Sound.  Can you say “NIMBY”?  First offshore wind farm wins approval

Media Blackout.  Have you noticed how we hear NOTHING about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan anymore?  Did they just suddenly end?  Interesting how when Bush was in office the lead story every day was how we were losing and killing civilians.  I guess 0bama’s magical fairy dust fixed everything.  Right.  My friend Rob told me about this great website/blog written by Michael Yon.  Michael is a former Green Beret who is now a reporter on the ground in Afghanistan.  His dispatches are amazing and insightful, with incredible photos of what’s happening – real photos of real troops.  Be sure to check it out:  Michael Yon Online Magazine I’ve also added the link to my blogroll on the right-hand side of the page.

Enough Is Enough.  So now 0bama has the gall to say that at some point, people have “made enough money.”  What a hypocrite! Do you think he’s talking about pro athletes, actors or entertainers?  Of course not – he’s talking about businesses in the United States.  The obama’s themselves made $5.5 million last year – is that enough? Frankly, I’m proud of the fact that someone like Barry & Michelle can cash in on the American Dream and become millionaires – so why can’t others do likewise?  I guess they aren’t special enough – not part of the Nomenklatura.  Here’s a great article that suggests that 0bama feels guilty about his success, that he didn’t really earn it: How Obama made himself more than enough money I agree with everything in this article except one thing – 0bama never felt guilty about anything.  (SIDENOTE:  He went to Bali & Kenya while trying to write his book.  Ah, the joys of being the anointed one.)

Time For Some Humor…Meeting the President

One sunny day in late January 2013 an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue, where he’d been sitting on a park bench. He spoke to the U.S. Marine standing guard and said, “I would like to go in and meet with President Obama.” The Marine looked at the man and said, “Sir, Mr. Obama is no longer president and no longer resides here.” The old man said, “Okay,” and walked away. The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, “I would like to go in and meet with President Obama.” The Marine again told the man, “Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Obama is no longer president and no longer resides here.” The man thanked him and, again, just walked away. The third day, the same man once again approached the White House and spoke to the same U.S. Marine, saying, “I would like to go in and meet with President Obama.” The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, “Sir, this is the third day in a row you have come here asking to speak to Mr. Obama. I’ve told you already that Mr. Obama is no longer the president and no longer resides here. Don’t you understand?” The old man looked at the Marine and said, “Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it.” The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, “See you tomorrow, sir.”  (Thanks to Linda for the story!)

In God We Trust.  This Thursday, May 6, is the National Day of Prayer.  The history of this day goes back to 1952, when Harry Truman signed it into law.  But the precedent of prayer in America dates back to the beginning of our country, when the Continental Congress called on the colonies to pray for guidance in forming a nation.  Prayer is a part of our history, yet there are those who want to eliminate it.  While 0bama signed the NDP proclamation this year, no one is really sure where he stands on this.  Will he participate in the NDP this year?  I don’t really care….I only care about preserving this important tradition.  0bama is temporary and will eventually be replaced.   Our country’s history and traditions are vital:  National Day of Prayer You may have heard that Franklin Graham – who is the honorary chairman of the NDP – was disinvited from speaking at the Pentagon on that day…because he condemned Islam’s treatment of women and use of violence.  Absolutely ridiculous: Political correctness claims Franklin Graham

HDR ALERT!!! This may be the most important article I’ve posted on the HDR because it outlines in detail who the puppet master of 0bama’s rise in politics truly is.  While others no doubt were involved, THE common thread is a  man named Joel Rogers.  Never heard of him?  Neither had I until Glenn Beck started to focus on him.  Rogers is a law professor in Madison, Wisconsin.  He founded the New Party (socialist organization that supported 0bama in Illinois) and was on the board of the Apollo Alliance.  He worked with Van Jones at Green For All.  The links go on and on….and include 0bama.  BE SURE TO READ THIS AND SEND IT TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW:  America’s Little Lenin?  Joel Rogers and the Obama Movement

Final Thought:  “Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant
and a fearful master.”  George Washington
