Hump Day Report: Brewer/Obama Smack Down!

ALOHA, ALL!!  Did Governor Jan Brewer get under Barry’s skin????  Whoa – looks like she did.  Obama immediately left after his SOTU snoozer for yet another campaign trek across America (see his skedz below.)  When he landed in Phoenix, Governor Brewer was there to meet him and it looks like she got an earful from Barry….and she gave it right back.  Apparently, 0bama didn’t think Brewer treated him “cordially” in her book.  Cordially??  This guy’s skin is about as thin as his resume.  YOU GO, GIRL!!!!   As Sarah Palin would say, “fight like a girl.”    Obama, Arizona Gov. Hump Day Report: A Not-So-Super Idea

ALOHA, ALL!!  Surprise!  The so-called “Super” Committee failed to come to an agreement over how to solve the debt crisis.  Did anyone doubt that it was set up to fail from the beginning?  (If you did then I have some beautiful ocean-front property to sell you in Hawaii for $100.)  So now what?  It’s obvious that the plan to include the automatic defense cuts was no fluke – Barry and his comrades want to gut our military.  (If you doubt that, I have some beautiful ocean-front property to sell you in Hawaii for $1000.  Yes, the price is going up.)  In the days to come, we’ll learn more about what went on at those  ”Super” meetings, but here’s a guess:  Dems wanted to raise taxes and not touch entitlements.  In fact, were entitlements even on the table with either party?  Here’s the best article I’ve seen so far on this “Super” failure (thanks to Lee for the link):  Defenseless:  America in the 21st Century  And lest you forget:

Turkey Talk.  I got this from a friend who is not a goof-ball.  So be aware when buying that Thanksgiving bird:  Please be aware that Butterball turkeys are halal certified. We received a turkey from Bob’s employer that is a Butterball & Bob saw something about Butterball being halal certified. He went to the Butterball website & it is true. We returned the turkey for a generic. Publix refused to take the turkey back for an exchange so her went to Winn Dixie & they willingly exchanged it for us.

Halal certified means that when the turkey is killed the butcher must be Islam sane & utter worship words to Allah that I do not know how to spell. Then a muslim prayer must be said over the carcasses as well. Not sure how to spell- a bismuh? The throat is cut- carotids, jugulars & trachea all @ once.  Not to gross anyone out, but I am finding more & more halal certified meat @ the store & I refuse to buy it. I refuse to give retailers any money that participate in this if I can help it.

ALOHA, ALL!!   Poor Barry – everyone’s abandoning him!  Even his new BFF Warren Buffett seems to be contradicting 0bama on what he’d like to see for his namesake tax.  Turns out dear old Warren wants to see a very high income threshold before his “Buffett Tax” kicks in.  This is quite a change from Buffett’s original opining about how the $1 million threshold seemed fair.  Hmmm…..is Warren having second thoughts about supporting his wonder kind now that his poll numbers are in the tank?  Then there’s Dickie Durbin, who says the Democrat controlled Senate doesn’t have the votes to pass Barry’s jobs bill.  Aw – it’s getting lonely at the top.      Abandon ship? HDR 189: Just Think of Government as Family

ALOHA, ALL!!  I read today that Barry’s minions are busily adopting a PR campaign that persuades us to think of government as “family.”  Yep – they are trying to brainwash us into believing that somehow big, obtrusive government is really just one of our kind, caring relatives.  BULL FEATHERS!!!  They trotted out this ridiculous meme during the response to Hurricane Irene.  When reviewing how various government groups were working together  to prepare for hurricane season, FEMA announced “that team includes the entire federal family, state local, and tribal governments….”  Let’s see….if government is family does that mean Barry is supposedly the Father figure?  LOL!!!  It fits that Janet Napolitano is Big Sis and Eric Holder is Big Bro.  Of course, Joe Biden has the role of Crazy Uncle down pat.  Hey big government – YOU ARE NOT MY FAMILY!  You are an intrusive, bureaucratic machine that thumbs its nose at the Constitution and takes away more of my freedoms every day (see below.)

HDR 187: Warren Buffett – Obama’s Old/New BFF

ALOHA, ALL!!  It turns out that Barry’s vacation hasn’t been all golf, fun in the sun, and spending time with Michelle and the kids.  He’s actually been working!  Yes, you read that right….he’s been working on getting more money for his re-election campaign (and you thought I meant working on a jobs plan or something silly like that – how pedestrian of you!)  Barry has met with several high profile, big money types while at “The Vineyard” including people like his Harvard law professor Charles Ogletree and Brian Roberts, the CEO of Comcast:  Big bucks for Obama from Comcast, other ‘fat cats’ – Common American Journal  There there’s Warren Buffett, the multi-billionaire who just gave Bank of America a bunch of money.  Barry called him and they had a little phone chat, probably about a jobs plan.  NOT!  I can’t quite figure Buffett out…..he supported Barry in 2008, criticized his economic policy not long ago, told everyone that rich people needed to pay more taxes, and now seems to be fully on board with having Barry in the White House for another four years.  I guess when you’re an eccentric billionaire you can act like a fool no matter how badly it impacts the “little people.” And if you want to attend Buffett’s economic forum (aka Barry fundraiser) in NY in September, be ready to shell out at least $10,000:  Buffett’s Obama pigout – NYPOST.com  BTW, I’m still waiting for Warren to send in his voluntary check for those extra taxes.  After all, noblesse oblige, n’est pas, Warren?  I’d rather listen to this Buffett instead:

ALOHA, ALL!!  While Barry is basking in the Martha’s Vineyard sunshine and the news of Gaddafi’s apparent fall, he can’t claim “mission accomplished” yet.  Of course, his fans are giving him high praise for helping oust Gaddafi without putting American boots on the ground (remember….this was a “Kinetic Military Action” and not a war.)  On the other hand assuming that Gaddafi is indeed gone, the truly difficult phase is ahead.  (UPDATE:  FOX NEWS REPORTS THAT GADDAFI’S SON IS ALIVE AND WELL.)  Mike Rogers (R – MI) was interviewed by Brett Baier today – Rogers is Chair of the House Select Intelligence Committee.  His insightful comments explain why we should be worried about the next phase in Libya.  Call me crazy, but why do I think Barry is not up to the task?
