Islamophilia: A Chronic, Fatal Disease

ALOHA, ALL!!  Not only is it not over, as I wrote in  my previous post, it’s getting worse.  As more comes out concerning the Boston Islamic terrorist attacks, we’re hearing disturbing reports of other planned attacks – the Canadian train, the Madrid Marathon and more.  This is the new “normal” folks.  And just like peeling an onion, it stinks.  Yet denial in the Obama administration that this truly is Islamic terrorism is pervasive.  The most senior Arab-American woman appointee in the Obama administration refuses to link Muslims to terror:  Terrorism Highlights Threat from Al Jazeera in America  And while Juliette Kayyam is no longer Assistant Secretary for Intergovernmental Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security, she is now CNN’s “terror analyst.”  Obama refuses to say WAR ON TERROR and instead says OVERSEAS CONTINGENCY OPERATION.  He recognizes and gives aid to the Muslim Brotherhood.  He bows to Arab leaders.  And we have so-called “terror analysts” who refuse to recognize the genesis of the terror threat.  Sorry folks, but we’re screwed.  Great article (Shaka to Biz):  The Price of Obama’s Islamophilia  “Short of a bombing or shooting, it is hard for Islamic warriors to get the attention of an administration that insists it is not at “war with Islam,” and even then no lessons are learned. There is speculation that the Saudi ‘person of interest,’ Abdul Rhaman Ali Alharbi, is Osama bin Laden’s son.

Duh.  President Obama to Deliver Keynote Address at Planned Parenthood Annual Gala  ”The event will honor prominent sex therapist Dr. Ruth K. Westheimer, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa (D), and actress Lena Dunham, creator of the HBO series “Girls.”  Dunham raised the ire of conservative groups ahead of the election by endorsing Obama in a video that compared voting to “your first time” having sex.”

So what else is new?  Obama Counts on Media to Shift Blame for Flight Delays  “We know that the FAA has the flexibility to reduce costs elsewhere, such as contracts, travel, supplies, and consultants, or to apply furloughs in a manner that better protects the most critical air traffic control facilities,” asserted Republican Rep. Bill Shuster (R-PA). “Yet rather than take this approach, the Administration has made choices that appear designed to have the greatest possible impact on the traveling public.”

The Worst of Times, The Best of Times

While the country is still reeling from yesterday’s terrorist attack in Boston, thoughts and prayers go out to those affected.  I have friends in Boston and fortunately they are OK.  But are they really?  Will any of us ever be “OK” again?  The perpetual War on Terror will never be over.  It’s the new “normal.”  And while there were horrific scenes yesterday there were amazing ones, too.  People who didn’t run away from the horror but who instinctively leapt into the chaos to help.  Like this:

 

OBAMA’S DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY – “NO ALERTS”  Gee – do I feel safer now?  Boston Bombings Morning Thread:  DHS Site Says ‘No Current Alerts’

Boston bombings – most comprehensive reporting.  As usual, we can learn more from The Daily Mail than our own lamestream media.  For example, pressure cooker bombs are frequently used in the Middle East.  From the website:

Boston marathon bombs were pressure cooker IEDs packed with ball-bearings: Devices that killed three, including eight-year-old boy waiting for his runner dad are used by terrorists in Afghanistan

• Police sources: Two pressure-cooker bombs were packed with shards of metal, nails and ball bearings
• Devices are frequently used in Afghanistan, India, Nepal and Pakistan, according to Homeland Security
• An al-Qaeda magazine last year listed U.S. sporting events as one of ‘the most important enemy targets’
• An eight-year-old boy and a 29-year-old woman were among the three killed in the attack
• 176 people injured, at least 17 of them in critical condition and ‘a lot’ of amputations have been performed
• Surgeons describe numerous severe injuries from ‘pellets, shrapnel or nails from inside the bombs’
• Investigators do not know of motive for the bombs or who is behind them but are questioning ‘many people’
• Obama vows to bring bombers to justice: ‘The American people will not be terrorized’
