While Obama’s visibility during the Hurricane Sandy crisis may give him a little bump (gee thanks, Chris Christie) it won’t make any difference in the election. And Romney could do two things to really put this away: 1) go on The O’Reilly Factor and 2) start hammering Obama on Benghazi. But it looks like Obama’s fairy dust and unicorns speech in New Jersey was all talk…no surprise. So what gives Newsweek the basis for calling Romney a wimp? I guess just…well…because. But if you want to see a champion, gold-medal-worthy wimp, look no further than Dirty Harry Reid. This guy is in a different league! Hump Day Report: George Bush Hates Black People?
ALOHA, ALL!! I didn’t agree with George Bush on everything. In fact, he infuriated me a few times. But I never doubted his sincerity, love of country and our military, and true empathy for others. On Wednesday – Independence Day – most of us were watching (or even marching in) parades, going to cook-outs and enjoying fireworks shows. Check out what George and Laura Bush were doing: Zambia – July 4, 2012 The Bushes visited the Kasisi Children’s Home, in Lusaka, Zambia. Kasisi is home to approximately 230 orphaned children between infant to university age range. This was part of a week-long trip to Zambia and Botswana, Africa, to promote the Pink Ribbon Red Ribbon initiative of the George W Bush Presidential Center. OMG…looks like Kanye West lied when he said this (not only that, he’s basically incoherent and Mike Myers should have slapped him):

Jay Carney: “White House Doesn’t Create Jobs”
Happy Aloha Friday! White House Press Secretary Jay Carney actually admitted yesterday what we’ve all know – they don’t create jobs. But does the administration really believe that? They seem to want to grow government and put more people on its payroll, not the private sector’s. I just got this great release from the Heritage Foundation about the 0bama administrations’s job-killing policies. It’s a great overview of what he and his cronies continue to do to stifle economic growth. From the article (not Jay Carney – now THAT would have been refreshing): ”The government cannot create private-sector jobs, but it can strongly affect the conditions for job-creating economic growth. Today the Labor Department released its monthly jobs report, which showed that the U.S. economy added an anemic 39,000 jobs this month and that the nation’s unemployment rate rose to 9.8 percent. Perhaps Europeans tend to be more conscious of how precious self-rule truly is? I connected through London’s Heathrow airport where I visited another duty-free shop. ”I like your pin!” This time it was a young man who greeted me. He explained how he had never been to America but always wanted to go. His dream is to go to New York and to experience “America’s greatness.” Wow…how many people here realize how privileged they are to live in the greatest country in the world? In spite of how Barack 0bama may think American exceptionalism is the same as how the Brits or Greeks think of themselves, many – if not most – of the world’s people still consider America “that shining city on the hill.” Ronald Reagan would be pleased. Born On The 4th Of July. Andrew Breitbart of Big Government fame has started a new site called Big Peace. Fittingly, it was launched on Independence Day. Breitbart says “Because I am not a foreign policy or military expert, I needed to create a core editorial unit that represented the highest-end understanding of policy while at the same time bringing, at a time of war, a “boots-on-the-ground” perspective….I have noticed that the amount of reporters and media outlets covering national security and the war has dwindled and skepticism over American military commitment has waned now that there isn’t a Bush or a Republican in charge. BREAKING NEWS: 0bama DOJ to Sue Arizona. We knew it was going to happen, and frankly I say BRING. IT. ON!!! Justice Department Files Suit Against Arizona You gotta love Holder’s reasons – that the AZ law would “divert federal resources” and initiate a “patchwork” of laws in other states. Divert federal resources? Aren’t they supposed to be using resources to enforce the law and protect us from illegals? I love Brewer’s response: she pointed out “the irony” of suing Arizona for its immigration enforcement law but ignoring cities and other local governments whose “patchwork local ‘sanctuary’ policies instruct the police not to cooperate with federal immigration officials.” Meanwhile, my friend Stacy sent me this comparison between California and Arizona. The Governor of California is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out, bites the Governor and attacks his dog.
1. The Governor starts to intervene, but reflects upon the movie “Bambi” and then realizes he should stop; the coyote is only doing what is natural.
2. He calls animal control. Animal control captures coyote and bills the state $200 testing it for diseases and $500 for relocating it.
3. He calls a veterinarian. The vet collects the dead dog and bills the state $200 testing it for diseases.
4. The Governor goes to hospital and spends $3,500 getting checked for diseases from the coyote and on getting his bite wound bandaged.
5. The running trail gets shut down for 6 months while Fish & Game conducts a $100,000 survey to make sure the area is free of dangerous animals.
6. The Governor spends $50,000 in state funds implementing a “coyote awareness” program for residents of the area.
7. The State Legislature spends $2 million to study how to better treat rabies and how to permanently eradicate the disease throughout the world.
8. The Governor’s security agent is fired for not stopping the attack somehow and for letting the Governor attempt to intervene.
9. Additional cost to state of California: $75,000 to hire and train a new security agent with additional special training re: the nature of coyotes.
10. PETA protests the coyote’s relocation and files suit against the state.
Arizona -
The Governor of Arizona is jogging with her dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out and attacks her dog.
1. The Governor shoots the coyote with her State-issued pistol and keeps jogging. The Governor has spent $0.50 on a .45 ACP hollow point cartridge.
2. The Buzzards eat the dead coyote.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why California is broke.
