Hump Day Report: Obama’s Tyranny

ALOHA, ALL!!  Will Congress halt 0bama’s incessant power grab?  He has thumbed his nose at the Constitution so many times it’s difficult to keep track.  Then again, that’s part of the plan – overwhelm the system.  What 0bama is doing with his unconstitutional actions is similar to the old adage:  tell a lie often enough and it becomes the truth.  0bama claims he needs to do these things because of the “do-nothing” Congress.  In reality, he is ruling by fiat.  The Heritage Foundation has put together a current list of all the ways 0bama and his administration have acted outside their scope of powers.  The four appointments last week were flat-out illegal:   Obama’s Arrogant Authoritarianism  Begging the question:  What are you gonna do about it, Congress?

Don’t believe the media hype – Romney won big.  Dem Spin: Romney Won Big in NH, But ‘Fell Far Short of Meeting Expectations’  Getting 40% of the vote in a 6-way race is a big win.  Debbie “The Doofus” Wasserman Schultz claims:  ”[T]he premise of his candidacy is unraveling,” Schultz said, adding that Romney leaves New Hampshire “wounded by a series of episodes that made it clear to voters – both in New Hampshire and for those watching across the country – that he is completely out of touch with the concerns of America’s working and middle-class families.”  Really, Debbie?  Of course, you do know first-hand what “out-of-touch” means.

He’s nipping at something.  Ron Paul claims he’s closing in on Romney…he’s “nipping at his heels.”  OK, let’s get this straight:  If Paul could come close anywhere it’s New Hampshire.  He got 23%.  South Carolina?  Not so much, dear doctor.  Everywhere else?  Dream on Paulists.  Ron Paul To Everyone But Mitt: Drop Out   However, I agree with Sarah Palin that the GOP should not dismiss Paul’s support nor his followers (read the comments at the link – holy moly!  These people are like rabid dogs.)  But Paul needs to go away…maybe run off with Debbie Doofus.

HDR 163: Sarah Palin and Allen West

ALOHA, ALL!!  The title says it all.  Whenever I start feeling really down about where this country is headed I only need to read, watch or listen to what one – or both of them – has done.  And they always seem to come out with something at just the right time.  So I’m focusing on these two amazing individuals for this issue of the HDR.  You may not like one or both of them for whatever reason….but if everyone in leadership thought and acted the way they do, we’d be a great country….again.

SARAH PALIN - you’ve heard how the New York Times & Washington Post has enlisted their readers to “explore” her recently released emails.  (BTW, I heard the League of Women Voters is participating in this “exploration” – so much for any admiration I may have had for that group.)  But what’s interesting is that this entire effort is backfiring, because all they are finding is a hard working governor, trying to do a good job.  SCANDALOUS!!!  One email that came out during this process really gets to the heart of Sarah Palin and who she is. My friend Ralph shared this with me, and I’m sharing with you.  It’s an email Palin wrote to her family when she found out she was pregnant with Trig and that he had Down syndrome.  Palin wrote it as if God was speaking to all of them.  It’s remarkable (Note that it was published by a UK paper – I doubt you’ll ever see it in the NY Times or WaPo):

Trig will be his dad’s little buddy and he’ll wear Carhartts while he learns to tinker in the garage. He’ll love to be read to, he’ll want to play goalie, and he’ll steal mom’s heart just like Track, Bristol, Willow, and Piper did. And Trig will be the cuddly, innocent dependent little brother that his siblings have been waiting for… in fact Trig will – in some diagnostic ways – always be a mischievous, dependent little brother, because I created him a bit different than a lot of babies born into this world today.

Every child is created special, with awesome purpose and amazing potential. Children are the most precious and promising ingredient in this mixed-up world you live in down there on earth. Trig is no different, except he has an extra chromosome. Doctors call it “Down syndrome,” and Downs kids have challenges, but can bring you much delight and more love than you can ever imagine! …

Trig’s mom and dad don’t want people to focus on the baby’s extra chromosome. They’re human, so they haven’t known how to explain this to people who are caring and are interested in this new little Alaskan. … Some will think Trig should not be allowed to be born because they fear a Downs child won’t be considered “perfect” in your world. …

Many people will express sympathy, but you don’t want or need that, because Trig will be a joy. You will have to trust me on this.

I know it will take time to grasp this and come to accept that I only want the best for you, and I only give my best. Remember though: “my ways are not your ways, my thoughts are not your thoughts… for as heavens are higher than earth, my ways are higher than yours!”

HDR 162: Hillary, Huma and Hubris

ALOHA, ALL!  When I first heard that Anthony Weiner’s new wife was Muslim, it immediately struck me:  She’s Muslim?  He’s Jewish!  Of course, marriages between people of different faiths happen all the time, but she is supposedly a very devout Muslim and marrying a non-Muslim is forbidden.  In fact, such a marriage is invalid, according to Sharia law.  What gives???  Here’s one theory:     Did Weiner Secretly Convert to Islam to Marry a Muslim?   It’s particularly interesting that the NY imam with ties to a Muslim Brotherhood group and Abdul Rauf (of the World Trade Center mosque fame) is encouraging Huma to stand by her Weiner (had to get at least one Weiner joke in.) And I’m sure you all know by now that Bill Clinton presided over the wedding ceremony – LOL!  Weiner apologized to Clinton – Huh?  For what??  Maybe that should have been a big red flag! I’m sure you’ve also heard that Huma has worked with Hillary for many years – lots of rumors circulating about that, too:  Does Hillary Have a Lesbian Connection to Weinergate?  Do I think these stories are true?  Nothing surprises me anymore.  Do I actually believe there’s a lot more we don’t know?  Yep.

HDR 161: So Long, Egypt!

ALOHA, ALL! You heard pundits on TV say it. You heard politicians say it (all lefties, of course.) You heard people around the world downgrade the threat of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. After all, the people there toppled Mubarek because they want democracy. They want freedom from tyranny. They want to be our friends. Even our Dear Leader said in his hyped up Super Bowl interview with Bill O’Reilly that “The Muslim Brotherhood is one faction in Egypt. They don’t have majority support in Egypt, but they are well organized and there are strains of their ideology that are against the U.S., there’s no doubt about it,” Obama said. “But here’s the thing that we have to understand, there are a whole bunch of secular folks in Egypt, there are a whole bunch of educators and civil society in Egypt that wants to come to the fore as well. So it’s important for us not to say that our own only two options are either the Muslim Brotherhood or a suppressed people.” Bull. Make that three!!  Wisconsin Judge Prevails in Recount – WSJ.com  ”A grueling statewide recount concluded Friday that Justice David Prosser defeated challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg to win another 10-year term on the Wisconsin Supreme Court in a race driven by the debate over Republican Gov. HDR 154: Bibi vs. Barry – No Contest!

ALOHA, ALL!!  Barry must have been too busy smoking dope in high school when they taught the history of Israel.  I’m sure they covered it…after all, Punahou is supposed to be one of the best schools in the country.  Then again, do we really know what is being taught in schools, even the elite ones?  Ah, but I digress….so the left is up in arms because they thought Netanyahu was”rude” to 0bama on television, for all the world to see.  Not surprising, I saw it differently.  A statesman explained calmly and rationally how there is no way Israel can return to the 1967 borders.  The child-king sat there and listened with an obvious look of disgust, with legs crossed and hands on his face, displaying body language that will be the fodder for such analyses for years to come.  Way to go, Bibi!  Unfortunately, I’m sure it was all lost on Barry.  Then again, Bibi’s intention was not to educate 0bama, but the millions of people watching.  Now THAT’S a teachable moment – Brilliant!  PM Netanyahu’s statement following his meeting with President Obama  (BTW, the picture is of Benjamin Netanyahu during his early days in the Israeli Defense Force.  He eventually became a Commander in the elite Special Forces Unit.  The other photo is Barry Soetoro (aka Barack Hussein 0bama), probably from high school or college, as a dope-smoking Marxist sympathizer.  He eventually became a community organizer and then played at being President of the United States.)

ALOHA, ALL!  Four 0bama czars were supposed to be eliminated in the continuing resolution budget deal that was struck last week.  0bama agreed to get rid of  the czar positions overseeing health care, climate change, the auto industry and urban affairs.  After all, we already have governmental departments overseeing these areas, so czars were superfluous, right?  Barry changed his mind. An amazing woman & patriot!  I met Kimberly Fletcher at the Honolulu Tea Party on Friday.  She was one of the speakers at the event – what a dynamite presenter!  Kimberly started the site Homemakers for America and has written the book, “Women: America’s Last Best Hope.”  Finally – a women’s group that speaks for ME!!!  We’re so glad to have her here in Hawaii, even if it’s for a short time.  She’s a true inspiration – check out her site!  BTW, I found out she’s from Dayton, OH and a fellow Buckeye.  :-)

Barack Obama, You’re No Ronald Reagan!

ALOHA, ALL!  Yes, I know it’s the weekend and I usually don’t blog.  I also know there is a revolution going on in Egypt.   But I can’t pass this up.  Ever since the SOTU address, the lamestream media has been trying to paint 0bama as the new Reagan.  He’s been called “Reaganesque” and his snoozer speech was supposedly full of lots of “Reagan moments” (Katie Couric was positively giddy.)  Let’s end this ridiculous comparison right now!  If Barry Soetoro (aka Barack 0bama) is the new Ronald Reagan then Nancy Pelosi is the new Mother Teresa.  I’d sooner believe that idiocy than this OUTRAGEOUS Reagan comparison.  And isn’t it ironic that the lamestream media is so enamored with Reagan now?  They and their minions pilloried him when he was alive, calling him stupid and slow (remember the words of Don Henley’s song “The End of the Innocence“? He talked about “beating plowshares into swords for the tired old man we elected king.”)

And now Time ragazine’s cover this week will show 0bama & Reagan, side-by-side, as if they are consulting with one another.  And the caption reads “Why 0bama *hearts* Reagan.”  RIIIIGT!  If Time had any integrity or credibility, here’s the photo they would have used for the back cover:

Ronald Reagan would have been 100 years old on February 6:  Power Line – Reagan at 100 His words, leadership and dedication live on, and we so wish he was sitting in that Oval Office today.  Instead, we’re beating exceptionalism into mediocrity for this egotistical young man who we elected messiah.

The next time you hear an 0bama diatribe, rambling on and on from his multitude of teleprompters, think of this speech Reagan gave on January 28, 1986.  It was right after the Challenger disaster, and that night was supposed to be Reagan’s SOTU speech.  Instead, he spoke deeply and sincerely about grief, coming together, and what makes America strong.  This is what “Reaganesque” truly means!
