Hump Day Report: If It’s Not A Tax, It’s Not Constitutional
ALOHA, ALL!! On Wednesday, the ObamaCare Tax comes up for a repeal vote in the House. Of course, it will be a symbolic vote since it will likely carry in the GOP-controlled House, but fail in the Dem-controlled Senate (that is, if Prince Harry Reid even decides to even put it forward.) But the vote is important: it puts Representatives on record regarding their support of the largest tax increase in American history. Here’s one of the best analyses I’ve seen on how the GOP should effectively use the ObamaCare Tax as a campaign issue: The Achilles Heel of Obamacare and Obama – Pat Caddell ”Let Democrats vote in favor of more IRS power in 2012, now that everyone knows that the beating heart of Obamacare is ObamaTax. So one more time: Republicans should seize on the ObamaTax issue–and the entire package of taxes–to remind the voters that the Democrats misled the public in 2010, and, indeed, they are misleading the public still. Taxes are the anvil on which to hammer the Democrats. And dishonesty is that hammer. This doctor in Scottsdale has had enough. We’ll be seeing a lot more of these if we don’t elect a GOP majority in Congress and fire Obama.

Hump Day Report: John Roberts Is Brilliant!
ALOHA, ALL!! I’m sure most of you are languishing over the SCOTUS ruling on Obamacare today. I’m not. In fact, I’ve told hubby that I wish the Supreme Court would uphold it. You think I’ve lost my mind or been smoking the pakalolo that Barry fancied (likely still does)? No. Consider this:
- Polls show that Obamacare is wildly unpopular: Obamacare: 0-98 Those who were on the fence about whether to vote for Obama or Romney in November now have a clear choice. Romney will repeal Obamacare. We know what Barry will do as well.
- The left had been ramping up an anti-SCOTUS narrative about how the Court was too “extreme” (i.e. in their minds too right-wing.) With Chief Justice John Roberts being the deciding factor in upholding Obamacare, that narrative is toast. Gone. History. Bye Bye.
- By looking unbiased and not desiring to interfere with the decision of elected officials, Roberts shows sanity. Those voters who were on the fence about Obama v. Romney can now contrast the legal expertise and dedication of a true conservative on the Court (Roberts) against a true liberal on the Court (Ginsburg.) Just like the above point, this removes the Obama campaign narrative that Justices appointed by Republican presidents are extreme. Therefore, re-electing Obama to appoint more mainstream Justices is moot. (Yes, people WILL contrast Roberts & Ginsburg. One is brilliant the other is a moon bat.) - By declaring that Obamacare is indeed a tax (and not applicable under The Commerce Clause) it shows even more how the American people were lied to and bamboozled by Obama, Pelosi and their ilk. Let’s look back to what Obama said in 2009:

ALOHA, ALL!!! If there was any doubt that Barack Obama wanted to be a tyrannical despot, it was completely erased this week. Obama had the nerve to chastise the Supreme Court while they deliberate the fate of Obamacare. Not only was this an over-reaching and inappropriate move by Obama, it gave insight into what 4 more years of his reign would entail. More intimidation of those who dare to challenge him. More blatant disregard of the Constitution. More lies and Chicago thug tactics. Had enough yet?

ALOHA, ALL! Wednesday is the day the House will vote to repeal Obamacare. Is it a lost cause? Hardly. It puts every Congress person on record as to where he or she stands on this issue, after hearing from constituents for a year. Will they listen? Is it any wonder the Dems don’t want this vote? They are shaking in the boots – have no doubts. Chances are pretty good it will pass the House, but then what happens in the Senate? Some are optimistic that all is not lost in the Senate because a number of Dems are up for re-election next year and they want to keep their cushy jobs (think Claire McCaskill, where 70% of the voters decided they don’t want nationalized healthcare, and she voted FOR it.
