Hump Day Report: The Nightmare Continues

ALOHA, ALL!!  In the last HDR, you read how the left used MLK day to spew racism against whites.  But it looks like they used the day in other ways, namely to break voter registration laws and to blatantly promote the leftist political agenda in church.  Valerie Jarrett spoke at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta and basically gave a campaign speech for Barry/Barack:    This administration thinks rules don’t apply to them!  They also held a voter registration drive immediately following Jarrett’s speech in direct violation of this:

Voter education or registration activities with evidence of bias that (a) would favor one candidate over another; (b) oppose a candidate in some manner; or (c) have the effect of favoring a candidate or group of candidates, will constitute prohibited participation or intervention.

Hump Day Report: Where Are The Media??

ALOHA, ALL!! Joy. The 0bamas are headed back to Kailua for their Christmas holiday. 17 days of frolicking in the sun, with non-stop media fawning, er, coverage every time they go eat shave ice. Each time Barry’s entourage heads out, the roads are a mess. And the taxpayers foot the bill for all the security, travel and so much more (in their infinite goodness, the 0bama’s pay to rent the $3500/night house.) But why should they care? Why should the press point out the arrogance of Barry’s many vacations? In reality, I’m sure many members of the Fourth Estate are thrilled to have this junket to Hawaii in December. They continue to worship the ground he walks on and sing his praises. They continue to push all lefty causes and ridicule the right. So let’s listen to another side of the story:

HDR 159: Obama IS The Food Stamp President!

ALOHA, ALL!  So here’s something that grew during 0bama’s tenure:  THE FOOD STAMP PROGRAM.  Under Barry, the number of food stamp recipients has risen 39%.  The number is about 61% higher than it was four years ago.  And about 67% of the USDA’s budget is spent on the food stamp program.  Ah, but those nasty Republicans want to do this:  The Republicans’ 2012 budget plan proposes changing SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) from an entitlement to a block-grant program that would be tailored for each individual state, much like their proposal for Medicaid. States would no longer receive open-ended subsidies and the aid would be contingent on work or job training. It would also limit funding for the program.  Wanna bet that the Dems use this as another weapon in their class warfare approach?  So along with ads showing granny thrown over a cliff, we’ll see ads with a Paul Ryan look-alike taking food out of a kid’s mouth.  They are shameless, after all. Congress Mulls Cuts to Food Stamps Program Amid Record Number of Recipients – The Note  Oh yeah – you might recall that Newt Gingrich was accused of being racist when he referred to Barry as “The Food Stamp President” recently. HDR 153: An Early Memorial Day Tribute

ALOHA, ALL!  As many of you know, my father-in-law was a World War II fighter pilot.  At age 95, Dad is a member of that “Greatest Generation” who fought so bravely to preserve our freedom during a difficult time.  (Reality check:  can you imagine what our lives would be like today if they hadn’t put their lives on the line?) They didn’t ask questions, whine, or shirk from duty – they just did it.  I know all HDR readers admire and respect these veterans for their service and their sacrifices, and here’s one way to give back:    Honor Flight: The Greatest Generation’s Last Wish | The Foundry  ”The Honor Flight Network exists to grant them one last wish and final honor before they go. The program transports World War II veterans to Washington, D.C., free of charge to see the National World War II Memorial for the first—and likely—last time.”  I know I usually report all the bad things happening in our country, but this is something to feel good about.  It’s one effort we can support and be proud of.  God bless all our military men and women!
