Hump Day Report: Presidential Debate #2 – Do Or Die

ALOHA, ALL!!  Obama has everything to lose in Tuesday’s debate.  Everything.  The pressure is on for him to do better than the first time he debated Romney.  He’s been holed up somewhere trying to get his facts straight and no doubt practicing one-line zingers he can throw at Romney.  Will it work?  Obama will be walking a very fine line.  Since Biden already showed voters that the Democrats are arrogant bullies, Obama can’t seem too smug.  Frank Luntz – In Second Debate Romney Must Make Obama Go Negative   On the other hand, he needs to be more aggressive than he was the last time.  My prediction:  epic fail for Obama.  He won’t have a teleprompter.  He’ll have the pressure of Romney being right next to him in a Town Hall format – no dais to hide behind and pretend to take notes.  Will he make another 57 states-like gaffe?  Should be interesting.

Candy Crowley = Obama Hack.  (Shaka to Biz)  Crowley Shouldn’t Re-Interpret Questions    ”The Commission on Presidential Debates does not want Candy Crowley, the debate moderator, to reinterpret audience members’ questions — a small but important point in this ongoing debate over what role the moderator is meant to play in the townhall-format debate.”  But if there’s any way she can make Obama look good, she will!!!

The mother of all swing states is deeply in play.  Yep….the one with the Buckeyes in it.  Check this out from Mark Halpern (Shaka to Carl):

The Romney Scenario

By Mark Halperin | October 15, 2012

Here’s why some Democrats are worried tonight. If Romney wins the three Southern battlegrounds (FL, NC, and VA) and OH, he is at 266 electoral votes. Leaving the other five battlegrounds unallocated, that means Obama would be at 237 and Romney would only need to win one of the remaining five states to get to 270+. See the map above.

One senior Democratic official expressed real concern tonight unlike I have heard before about Ohio potentially slipping away from Obama (the state has been trending Republican in statewide races, Rob Portman has become a force, religious and gun groups are flooding the state with voter contacts, two of Romney’s top strategists have recently won a statewide race there, etc).

This doesn’t mean Romney has the upper hand right now. But it is no longer at all implausible that he could take the three Southern battlegrounds and Ohio. If he does that, he sure as heck would have the upper hand. And that leaves at least some Democrats with the shakes.

But wait….there’s more!  (Shaka to Scott):  Romney Narrows Gap With Women, Leads Obama In Swing States  ”As the presidential campaign heads into its final weeks, the survey of voters in 12 crucial swing states finds female voters much more engaged in the election and increasingly concerned about the deficit and debt issues that favor Romney. The Republican nominee has pulled within one point of the president among women who are likely voters, 48%-49%, and leads by 8 points among men.”

The 8,000 pound gorilla is still in the room and he ain’t leaving.  (No, I don’t mean Hillary)  Hillary Clinton Is Key To Unlocking Libya Scandal  ”It is clear the scandal is being intentionally manipulated by the Obama administration. Do not forget Obama and Hillary Clinton are from the school of Alinsky. Miss-information and contradictions are their tools because chaos is their friend. They embrace it. The conflicting interviews and contradictory statements during the last month have been carefully managed and methodically unrolled. While you sit back and smile thinking you’ve got it figured out, they’re huddling and drawing up the next play. This is what they do.”

And speaking of sleaziness, I still don’t trust Obama.  Neither does Dick Morris.  He thinks Obama may have an October surprise up his sleeve.

Make Our Day, Paul Ryan….Please Go There!  Missing In Action – Stimulus ‘Sheriff’ Joe Biden  ”Remember when President Obama bragged about Joe Biden’s fiscal discipline cred in 2009? “To you, he’s Mr. Vice President, but around the White House, we call him the Sheriff,” Obama warned government employees. “Because if you’re misusing taxpayer money, you’ll have to answer to him.”

Shock!!!  Not.  Transparency Fail:  Obama A Guest At VP Moderator’s Wedding  ”…ABC News’ senior foreign correspondent, Martha Raddatz, is not only moderating tomorrow night’s debate between Paul Ryan and Joe Biden, but no less than Barack Obama was a guest at her 1991 wedding.”

Shock!!  Not.  Part II.  Obama’s Ring:  ’There Is No God But Allah’“…according to Arabic-language and Islamic experts, the ring Obama has been wearing for more than 30 years is adorned with the first part of the Islamic declaration of faith, the Shahada: “There is no God except Allah.”

Hump Day Report: “Does Obamacare Include A$$ Kicking?”

ALOHA, ALL!!!  I borrowed the title of this HDR from Dennis Miller.  He tweeted it out shortly after the end of last night’s debate.  Says it all, doesn’t it?  More debate aftermath – first from Dick Morris:

Romney Wins!  ”Romney’s aides and surrogates sprinted into the spin room to offer effusive assessments of their candidate’s performance, and Fox News contributor Juan Williams was caroling “Massacre! Massacre!” to himself as he bounded out of the men’s restroom. Obama’s team didn’t meet the press for a full 10 minutes — and one top Democrat, asked to say the best thing about the president’s performance, said Obama has been “just working to maintain cool and be reassuring” in an email to POLITICO.” LOL!!

Powerline Blog – It’s Over  ”I’ve been watching presidential debates for quite a few years, but I have never seen one like this. It wasn’t a TKO, it was a knockout.”

From one of my favorite blogs, Nebraska Energy Observer:  Debate Roundup  ”Part of the reason that Obama looked so bad last night is something we’ve talked about before, he’s an ‘affirmative action‘ hire. He’s never had to perform to the standards that the rest of us have, and last night he ran into a man who has objectively excelled.”

Another great blog, White House 2012:  Al Gore And Friends Blame Obama’s Poor Debate Performance On The Altitude  ”After spending more than 4 years blaming everything on George Bush, the left, under the leadership of liberal icon Al Gore has now turned to a new scapegoat…. the altitude.”

Hump Day Report: A Debate Primer

ALOHA, ALL!!!  The first debate is here.  Will Romney finally put Obama away?  Some perspective (Shaka to George for the info):

Polling

Most national polls show President Obama with a small lead, but more importantly, with slightly larger leads in most of the key swing states, particularly Ohio (18 electoral votes). The swing state polls, though conducted and publicized less frequently than national polls, are the more crucial to watch since the Electoral College will determine who wins. Consensus polling today indicates that Obama would win the national vote by a few points but win the Electoral College far more decisively.

Many pundits challenge the accuracy of both the national and state polls. All polls are tabulated differently, and none are perfect. We try to look at the consistent trends and common threads among polls, and we value those factors as meaningful in determining an outcome. Over the last few weeks, the trend has favored Obama in the national polls (although within the margin of error) and more decisively in the Electoral College.

Some of these states may experience changes in the next five weeks, but the map  depicts where we believe the race stands now:

Beige – Romney; Blue – Obama; Brown – Undecided

Debates

Presidential debates have the potential to be very important to an election outcome, but, historically, they have not always been impactful. The presidential debate in 1980 was an example of an influential debate as Ronald Reagan erased an 8-point deficit in the polls and beat incumbent President Jimmy Carter by 10 points on the basis of a strong debate performance. Since that time, debates have had varying degrees of impact on election outcomes but none has been especially decisive.

Three presidential debates are scheduled between President Obama and Governor Romney, the first occurring on October 3. A debate involving Vice President Biden and Governor Romney’s running mate, Congressman Paul Ryan, will take place on October 11.

Will the debates be impactful? They can be. As the challenger currently behind in the polls, Romney has more to gain in the debates. He is lesser known to the public than Obama, and voters will size him up more than they will assess Obama. Romney must convince more voters that he is a viable alternative to President Obama and that he understands their concerns and anxieties. These personal characteristics are not easy to convey in tightly-choreographed and relatively brief debates, especially since many voters already have a view of Romney that is at odds with his campaign’s preferred perception.

The first debate will be especially important for Romney. More viewers will watch it than the subsequent debates, and for many it may be their first significant exposure to Romney. Without a strong performance, many viewers may tune out the following debates.

As the front-runner, President Obama has more to lose in the debates. He needs to make his appeal to the few undecided voters still remaining, and he must tactfully keep Romney on the defense, as he has for most of the campaign. He doesn’t have to win the debates, but look for him to continue to try to reinforce more voter doubt about Romney. Look for Obama to lower expectations about his debate performances prior to the debates as a tactic to put more pressure on Romney.

Hump Day Report: The Math Test

ALOHA, ALL! Hubby just wrote up a great analysis of last night’s Sixty Minutes interviews of Obama and Romney. Food for thought:

If my math is off, tell me. I’m not that quick when it comes to exponential notation any more.

President Obama on Sixty Minutes on Sunday made a point of noting that what seems to be a never-ending recession was deeper than expected and had eventually cost 9M jobs. He then went on to brag to CBS correspondent Steve Croft that Obama “has” created 4.5 million jobs.” Obama also admits that we need more, (Gosh, really…?) I don’t even know if Obama’s numbers are accurate, but for sake of discussion, let’s stipulate that they are.

So, let’s see: President Obama got well over a trillion dollars in various stimulus monies; the infamous $787 billion stimulus bill plus a bunch more during a rare lame-duck Congressional session in late 2010. So, just to reveal for us some idea of what that trillion plus of Chinese-lent money got for the U.S.:
1) a trillion more dollars of U.S. debt, helping drive the dollar down, oil up, food up, etc. up….
2) Obama’s 4.5 million jobs, (plus seemingly perpetual 8+% unemployment, massive underemployment, food stamps and the like through the roof, etc.)

But if we divide the trillion ($1,000,000,000,000 or so in stimulus monies by the 4,500,000 jobs Obama claims he’s created we get: $222,222 per job. Recall for a moment that the median household income in the U.S. is $52,000. So if each job cost almost a quarter-million dollars of additional debt, where did all this money go in less than four years? And how good can the jobs Obama likes to claim he created actually BE if these jobs cost more than they pay?

CBS’s Steve Croft should have asked Obama these questions but did not. Wonder why?

Sixty Minutes tonight and the first presidential debate on Wednesday are crucial for Romney. Tonight viewers could see Romney is not the ogre Obama and his cronies in the main stream media have sought to create… Romney was serious but appropriately glib and on his game. He also showed that he has a cogent vision of where he wants to lead the nation. This is all he really needs to achieve on Wednesday and he will win — provided good people like you keep sending in needed contributions. (Sidebar: CBS’s Scott Pelly kept pestering Romney for negotiating details regarding his plan to shrink government and grow the economy — as if revealing key details prior to negotiations with Congress is some sort of reasonable expectation in doing business. For example does Scott Pelly reveal the most he’ll pay for a new car immediately after first shaking hands with a salesman?)

Tonight Obama was as joe-cool as anyone could be whose in what need to be the final months of a failed presidency. To be fair, we have had nearly four years of cool — but cool just doesn’t seem to be getting the job done. Or am I missing something?

GOD BLESS AMERICA – PASS THIS ON – REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER!!!!!!

Hump Day Report: The ‘Incomplete’ Presidency

ALOHA, ALL!!  If you got an ‘incomplete’ grade in a class, would you pass?  If you got an ‘incomplete’ score on any type of work assignment, would you move up to the next level?  Yet Barack Obama claims his grade on the economy is ‘incomplete’ and he wants more time, he wants to pass…he wants to move on to the next level with another 4 years in office.  It’s time to get rid of this ‘incomplete’ president and elect one who will focus on fixing our problems.  Ryan:  ’Four Years Into A Presidency And It’s Incomplete?’

(Shaka to Nicki for the image – pretty much sums it up!)

The lies just keep on coming.  Here’s a little video that the lamestream media somehow couldn’t find.  But VOILA!  It vindicates Paul Ryan, accused of lying about that closed GM plant in Janesville, WI.  OOPS – caught with your pants down again, Dems.

No need to watch Obama’s speech Thursday night – here’s what he’ll say:

He may repeat some of these:  Ten Worst Lies Of Barack Obama  ”Attempting to select THE ten worst lies told by a pathological liar like Barack Obama is a difficult task. There are so many lies that it is hard to know where to start – a good case can be made for so many of his lies as top ten material.”

And this is Joe Biden(opoulos’) speech – we got an exclusive!  Joe Biden’s Leaked Convention Speech?  Sneak peek:  ”Friends, Romans, countrymen — lend me your ears. I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him. [Suddenly pounding his shoe on the dais.] We will bury you!”  LOL!!

“I’m not always articulate, but when I am, it’s a BIG f*@#in’ deal!”

Looks like plagiarism runs in the DNC family.  San Antonio Mayor ‘Borrows’ Marco Rubio RNC Speech  “My mother fought hard for civil rights so instead of a mop, I could hold this microphone,” said San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro in his DNC Convention speech.”  Hmmmm……

Change they can believe in….because it won’t look like Obama is speaking in an empty stadium.  Obama’s Convention Speech Moved From 73,000 Seat Outdoor Stadium To 20,000 Seat Indoor Arena  Of course, they claim it’s the weather.  Too hot for Joe Biden?  ”Tomorrow night’s forecast for Charlotte calls for isolated thunderstorms and a 30 percent chance of rain. But it’s more likely that a separate but more important forecast found there to be a 100 percent chance of thousands of empty seats in the outdoor stadium.”

Another milestone for Obama.  Debt Clock Hits $16 Trillion As DNC Celebrates Hope and Chair  ”The theme of the convention is “building the economy from the middle out.” But Obama will be relying heavily on the Clinton legacy, not his own, to convince voters he’s the best path to the future. Let’s build a bridge to the 21st Century again! It’s shovel-ready!”  The debt is now $136,260 per household - up 50%under Obama.

Check out the ‘hood just four miles from the DNC freakfest.  Forward?  Charlotte Community In Despair  ”Entire strip malls are abandoned, auto dealers closed, gas stations shut down, restaurants foreclosed and empty. It is so bad, billboards are blank without advertising.”

Here’s what Charles Krauthammer had to say about Michelle Obama’s speech – perfect!

God & Jerusalem – who needs ‘em?  (Shaka to Scott for the link)  Democratic Platform:  ’God,’ Jerusalem Language Dropped  ”Since the platform was released, the lack of the word “God” has become a rallying cry among some conservatives, especially those who believe that the Obama administration is unfriendly to religion. The Republican platform, released last week, made at least a dozen references to God and included a section on religious liberty.”

Food For Thought:  Does anyone else see the hypocrisy in putting a man who killed a woman (Ted Kennedy) and another man who was accused of rape and assault (Bill Clinton) front and center at a convention that supposedly celebrates women?  Just sayin’….

Final Thought:  ”She told the story of Gandhi.”  Charles Krauthammer, describing Michelle Obama’s speech about her husband at the DNC

Hump Day Report: Let The Freak Show Begin!

ALOHA, ALL!!!  It’s HEE-ER – the greatest show on earth is infolding today.  I have no doubt that it will be filled with bombastic speeches, patronizing  words about women and minorities, and outright lies.  Here’s a preview of the Democratic National Convention (Shaka to Carl for the image – LOVE it!!!  It’s from The People’s Cube blog.)

What To Expect At The Democratic Convention  “Watch any episode of “Walking Dead” and you’ll get a preview. Progressive ideas are beyond old. They’re dead. Yet they’re still walking around, mindless zombies reflexively moaning left-wing clichés and petrified orthodoxy.”

Labor Tries To Soften Image With ‘Hug A Union Thug’ Booth In Charlotte  “We see this as an opportunity to dispel that stereotype that union members are mean, scary and violent. What better way to disarm folks than to hug them?”

The Dumb Blonde Joke Behind The Democratic National Convention  ”…with the women’s vote in several key swing states being critical to Obama’s reelection, Democrats will continue to exploit women as helpless and reliant citizens married to the trough of government and they will continue to pray that their attempt to make women believe that Mitt Romney is The Boston Strangler and that Paul Ryan is Jack the Ripper takes hold.”  (Be sure to read this to see why Hillary won’t be there…has Barry exiled her?  You be the judge.)

Democrats Start Convention By Going Crazy  ”The most notable excess so far came from the head of the California Democratic Party, who, egged on by a radio reporter who asked him about the “fact checking” of Paul Ryan’s convention speech, launched into a diatribe about how Republicans are Nazis…”

“That….you didn’t build that!”

Giant Obama Sand Sculpture Stands Near Convention  ”A 25-foot sand sculpture of President Barack Obama brings some of the beach to the Democratic National Convention’s host city.”  BUT WAIT!!!  Did it disappear??  Heavy Rains Wash Away Mount Obama  ”A torrential downpour that struck Charlotte on Saturday afternoon damaged the Mount Rushmore-style sand sculpture bust of President Obama — an ominous beginning to what many fear is a plagued convention.”  LOL – this thing is just plain creepy!

UPDATE – Breaking News!  Kitty knows what to do with the sculpture.

Signs The Democratic Convention Could Be A Boon – For The GOP  ”So what do you do when you can’t fill a venue? “Bus them in,” says a Democrat official. According to Reuters, that’s exactly what they are planning on doing. Of course the ‘smoke and mirror’ admin is spinning this to look as though tickets are going fast, and why wouldn’t they be when the purchase price is… free!”  (Read this to see who’s actually snapping up those free tickets – Team Obama won’t be amused!)

In Other News:

Glenn Beck Respects the SEALs.  Remember how I wrote about the robopen-signed form letter Obama sent to the families of the SEALs killed in that helicopter crash?  Beck couldn’t let that slide – great video:  Glenn Beck Offers Moment of Silence For Fallen SEALs

He doesn’t have anything better to do?  White House Releases Beer Recipes  But alert the media – he’s kept a promise!

But he’s such a nice guy….Democrats Air Frustration With Obama’s ‘Cockiness’  ”The article reports Obama’s associates characterize this bluster and political zeal as “cockiness.” Further, Washington Democrats say he is all too eager to offer unsolicited advice — on handshakes, writing, and parenting, among other topics. For those activities at which he feels inadequate, Obama reportedly dedicates considerable time to practice, no matter how trivial the pastime…”

No wonder the Dems are freaking out.  GOP Voters At An All-Time High  ”If the GOP advantage holds through November, it is likely that the electorate will be evenly split, like it was in 2004 or possibly have a Republican edge. If that is the case, then current media polling is way off-base. Democrats and the media may wake up in shock on November 7th.”

Final Thought (Dedicated to the Dems):  ”All that pressure got you down, has your head spinning all around…Freak out!  Le Freak – C’est Chic!”  R&B Band “Chic”, 1978

So yeah….I gotta post this!

Hump Day Report: Time To Fill The Empty Chair

ALOHA, ALL!!  It’s been interesting trying to catch all the speeches from the GOP convention while out of the country.  I’ve never watched C-Span so much in my life!  And while I didn’t get a chance to see them all yet, I managed to catch quite a few from my hotel room or the United airport club.  Throughout the convention, there were many excellent speakers!  Mia Love, Condi Rice, Marco Rubio, Paul Ryan.  But the one everyone seems to be talking about today is Clint Eastwood and his little friend – the empty chair.   Lots of fun stuff going around on the internet today (shaka to Carl).  Obama tweeted this in response to Eastwood:

But Preezy, you should know better than to get the Twitter-verse going.  These are especially good from our friends at The Looking Spoon!

The highlight of the convention was indeed Romney’s speech.  He delivered the perfect “get to know me” address to answer the ridiculous lamestream media retort of how voters “don’t know who he is.”  IMHO, this was not a speech to get specific on policy or be detailed on procedures – it was meant to fire up the independents and the undecideds to make them realize Romney’s an accomplished, decent guy.  He’s the one who should be sitting in that chair.

In Other News:

Surprise, Surprise! Akin Regains Lead In MO  “A poll of likely Missouri general election voters released this morning shows that, far from being out of the race, embattled Senate candidate Todd Akin has regained his lead over Senator Claire McCaskill by a 45% to 42% margin, with 13% undecided.”

It looks like Obama’s taking Romney’s lead already:  Leading From Behind:  Empty Chair To Visit Lousiana On Monday  ”Hours after Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney visited Louisiana in the aftermath of Hurricane Isaac on Friday, White House press secretary Jay Carney announced President Barack Obama would call an audible in his schedule and visit Louisiana on Monday to assess the storm’s damage.”

Preezy must not have his own pen…or he was too busy….or something.  Obama honored Fallen SEALs By Sending Their Parents A Form Letter Signed By Electric Pen    “But Obama did send a personal letter to rapper Heavy D’s family when he passed away.”

Excellent ad!

And as you enjoy your Labor Day weekend.  Gasoline Rising To Holiday High  ”Hurricane Isaac and a deadly blast at Venezuela’s Amuay refinery pushed gasoline to an almost four-month high and threatened to revive a debate about energy costs in the run-up to the presidential election in November.”

Final Thought:  “We own this country…politicians are employees of ours.”  And:  “Biden is the intellect of the Democrat party – a grin with a body behind it.”  Clint Eastwood, GOP convention, 8/30/12

Hump Day Report: Hurricane Ann Hits Tampa

ALOHA, ALL!!  No need to chit chat, let’s get down to it.

‘We Built It’ Resounds at First Night of RNC  ”While the GOP convention projected for the most part a positive vibe, leftist pundits from MSNBC took aim at the participants. Ed Schultz said that Chris Christie appeared “angry” during his speech. Chris Matthews compared Christie to a “loudmouth Irishman from New York” and described Mitt Romney’s demeanor as “bizarre.” Rachel Maddow insinuated that Rick Santorum was racist, and Matthews said that Santorum’s talk of “welfare and food stamps” is racist code….All of these attacks came off as petty and immature and took nothing away from the optimistic atmosphere at the convention. If anything, they helped the Republican cause.”

Ann Romney’s speech – knocks it out of the park, throwing strong like a girl!!!!:    Dick Morris thinks the speech is worth 3-4 point in the polls and is the best of its genre – ever!

Looking ahead to Paul Ryan’s speech:  ‘After 4 Years of Runaround US Needs Turnaround’  ”In an address that his advisers say will be heavy on optimism, Ryan will present the nation’s challenge as a choice between an Obama administration that has avoided hard choices and a Romney ticket that will meet them head on.”

Platform’s Sharp Turn To Right Has Conservatives Cheering  ”Subtitled “We Believe in America,” the platform keeps its focus on the party’s traditional support for low taxes, national security and social conservatism. And it delves into a number of politically charged issues.”

Switchers – Once they Supported Obama But Now They Support Romney  ”Now four years later, these people know that those hopes were false and that the promises offered by President Obama have been broken. Today, these disappointed Democrats are enthusiastic Republicans who hold out more hope for the promised changes for fiscal responsibility offered by the Romney-Ryan ticket.”

MSNBC shows its bias once again.  Cuts All Speeches Given By A Minority At GOP Convention  “MSNBC wants you to think the Republican Party hates minorities. So much so that the liberal news network cut minority speeches from it’s convention coverage.”

Hey ’2016′ – you know you’ve made it whenAP Protects Obama While Attacking Conservative Film  ”…Fouhy completely ignores the part of the film that features an interview with Professor Paul Kengor, an accomplished author who discusses Obama’s mentor in Hawaii, Communist Party member and writer Frank Marshall Davis. This is the relationship that the media continue to regard as taboo. The failure to talk truthfully about Davis, identified merely as “Frank” in Obama’s memoir, constitutes one of the most important and insidious cover-ups in presidential history.”

Final Thought:  “Mitt was not handed success, he built it.”  Ann Romney, GOP convention speech, August 28, 2012

Hump Day Report: Media Making Amends?

ALOHA, ALL!!  Something odd is happening.  Did you ever think Oprah’s BFF, Gayle King, would say amazing, complimentary things about Mitt Romney?  On TV?  And it wasn’t just her, Charlie Rose did too!  What the heck is going on?  They were interviewing author Jeff Benedict who wrote the book, “The Mormon Way,” and is a friend of Mitt Romney’s.  Check this out (shaka to Susie for the link):  Doing Business The Mormon Way  Coming on the heels of the Newsweek cover screaming “Hit the Road, Barack,” it makes one wonder if journalists and TV commentators have grown spines.  Are they finally searching for truth?  Nah – they’re just covering their okoles because they know Obama is toast.  Then there’s Chris Matthews (see below.)

Do you think this story will get out?  Romney Charitable Giving Has Outpaced Obama   Key point:  ”[D]uring a comparable period before Obama and Romney were running for president, Romney’s giving probably was at least ten times Obama’s as a percentage of their incomes, and possibly much more.”

How about this one?  Romney Closes Bain To Look For Daughter of Missing Colleague  ”And so I said,” Romney recalled when asked about the incident during a town hall meeting in March 2012, “‘Let’s close the firm, let’s close the company. Let’s all of us fly down to New York and try to find her….Gay, Romney, and team literally fanned out on the streets of Manhattan in suits and ties, distributing 300,000 fliers and asking passersby point-blank if they had seen the missing girl.”  Hopefully, we’ll be seeing this ad a lot more from now until November 6:

RIP Neil Armstrong.  Of course, Obama managed to use the death of an American hero to promote himself:  To Honor Neil Armstrong, Obama Posts Photo of Himself   Yes, he did.  ”Obama’s greatest achievement, though, is creating his own personal narrative. He is his own personal touchstone. Even when honoring a great American hero, Obama can’t help but thrust himself into the event.”  Frankly, I don’t think Armstrong was an Obamabot:  Armstrong  ”In one of his last public appearances, Armstrong testified before a congressional committee against the Obama administration’s plan to redirect NASA’s efforts away from human exploration of space and toward more basic long-term science research, a plan he called “devastating.”  We’ve lost another great one.

Not much to say here:  Obama Rejects Pro-Life Catholic Cardinal’s Benediction At DNC  Of course, Muslims get a full day of activities.  And Dems say the GOP is extreme?????

LOL!!!!!  Still love Newt.  Chris Matthews should know better that mess with someone with a superior intellect, which means just about anyone.  Doofus.  Gingrich is in another league!

GOP Uses Convention Debt Clock To Play Up Obama’s Red Ink

And…..new ad to be unveiled at the GOP convention Tuesday!  ‘Bow To Nobody’ is from the Special Operations For America Super PAC.  Yep – the SEALs.  You know….the guys that Barry said he wasn’t taking “too seriously.”  Take this, Barry!

BTW, did you see 2016 yet????  Apparently the press is perplexed about why it’s so popular:  Why Is The Press Ignoring The Success of ’2016′?
