Hump Day Report: Do You Want To Know A Secret?

ALOHA, ALL!!  You think your leaders are looking out for the security of this country?  If so, you must be living on the moon.  Monday, I had a glimmer of respect for Senator Diane Feinstein.  It seemed as if she was taking her role as Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee seriously and was truly interested in getting to the bottom of the recent security leaks.  Feinstein actually said that someone in Obama’s White House was leaking information:  Someone From The White House Is Leaking National Security Secrets That Coincidentally Make Obama Look Good   Tuesday, Feinstein didn’t show up for several meetings that she was scheduled to attend and instead issued a written statement: “I stated that I did not believe the president leaked classified information,” Feinstein said in the statement on Tuesday. “I shouldn’t have speculated beyond that, because the fact of the matter is I don’t know the source of the leaks.”   Silly me for thinking for one second that a political hack and insider like Feinstein would actually do the right thing.  So much for doing what’s right – Barry’s minions must have given her an offer she couldn’t refuse and she took it.

UPDATE:  Then there’s this – CIA:  Did You Mean These Documents?  “The Department of Justice had to file a motion admitting that the CIA had found numerous documents that should have been released in a Freedom of Information Act request from Judicial Watch about White House interaction with filmmakers producing a movie about the killing of Osama bin Laden…This relates directly to the issue around which Feinstein danced yesterday, which is the intentional leaking of national-security information to burnish the reputation of Barack Obama.”  Apparently the documents were “overlooked.”  A big, 4-5″ thick pile of documents.

I’m also peeved at some Republicans.  You may have heard about the flack Michele Bachmann received for warning about people in the administration with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.  Congresswoman Bachmann has called out Keith Ellison as well as Huma Abedin, Deputy Chief of Staff for Hillary Clinton (Ms. Abedin is also married to disgraced former NY congressman Anthony Weiner.)  Ellison is trying to hide his ties to CAIR and Muslim Brotherhood front groups, but the record speaks for itself:  Keith Ellison Re-Writes History on His CAIR and Muslim Brotherhood Ties   As for Huma Abedin, she does have immediate family ties to the Muslim Brotherhood:  Huma Abedin and the Muslim Brotherhood – Closely Connected and  National Security, The Muslim Brotherhood, and Clinton’s Top Aide   and Yes, Who Huma Is Matters – A Lot  ”As 1993 World Trade Center bombing prosecutor Andrew McCarthy notes in National Review, “The ties of Ms. Abedin’s father, mother, and brother to the Muslim Brotherhood are both specific and substantiated.”   Let’s look at some of Michele Bachmann’s (unanswered) concerns, posted at  Michele Bachmann Smells Something Foul:

• Why did the State Department not only allow a member of an Egyptian terrorist group a visa to enter the country (against the law) but then allowed that individual to meet with national security officials at the White House?
• Why does the State Department continue to interact regularly with known Muslim Brotherhood “front” groups?
• Why has the Obama administration, according to the White House Director for Community Partnerships, had hundreds of meetings with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and actively worked to conceal these meetings? As background, in 2008 the Holy Land Foundation was found guilty of funding Islamic terrorist organizations. Named as “unindicted co-conspirators” in the trial were CAIR and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). Both organizations are tied to the Muslim Brotherhood.
• How exactly did Ms. Abedin avoid security clearance disqualification given that there is a documented connection between her father, mother and brother and the Muslim Brotherhood?

So John McCain, John Boehner, Ed Rollins and the rest of you in the GOP, stop criticizing Bachmann!  She has more cojones than all of you combined. And Barry keeps bowing to China, compromising our security:  Administration Approves Controversial Export License Allowing Sensitive Space Technology Transfer To China  ”Regarding space technology transfer, the report said: “Inadvertent or deliberate transfer of space-related expertise poses the most significant potential harm to U.S. national interests.”

Rapper Ice-T Defends Gun Rights  “It’s legal in the United States,” the rapper said. “The right to bear arms is because that’s the last form of defense against tyranny. Not to hunt. It’s to protect yourself from the police.”  Good video.  Ice-T doesn’t budge!  Also excellent….this response from Aurora victim Jessica Ghawi’s brother, Jordan.  He was being interviewed by an MSNBC flack trying desperately to get him to support gun control.  BRILLIANT!

Obama Will Visit Israel In Second Term  Ha , Ha, Ha!!!!!  This is such pandering it’s laughable.  Reminds me of this Seinfeld episode:  ”We didn’t bet if you wanted to do it, we bet if it would be done.”

ALOHA, ALL!  So here we are in 2012….FINALLY!  I only made one resolution for this year, and that is to do all I can to get Barack 0bama out of the White House.  He left Hawaii Monday and isn’t’ wasting any time getting back to work – campaigning:  Obama Returns to Campaign Trail After Hawaii Vacation: Next Stop, Ohio   We don’t need a perpetual campaigner  - we need a leader in the White House.

He vants to be alone.   I’m sure the NYT thought this piece would be another of their complimentary diatribes about Barry, but it’s had the opposite effect.  Do we really want a President who “keeps Congress and official Washington at arm’s length”? NYT: Obama’s kind of a White House recluse « Hot Air  He’d rather campaign with TOTUS as his BFF, speaking in front of all his adoring fans than do his real job.  Hubby wrote the following letter to the Star Advertiser about the story, but (surprise!) they didn’t publish it.  Probably didn’t want to upset Barry while he was on vacation here.  After all, he needed to golf, work out and eat shave ice:

With regard to your front page report (12/29) of President Obama’s isolation in office: A business for which I consult once hired a highly-touted “relationship manager” to lead its sales team. We soon learned that he didn’t like the salesmen and product managers and was overtly avoiding them. Such similar attitudes and hermit-like behavior may help explain President Obama’s inability to lead Congress. In our case, sales foundered until the bosses replaced this individual with someone who was a better fit for the job.

She’s a contender. Bachmann pulled off a victory despite the doubters (funny how those migraines didn’t seem to slow her down for one second.) When asked by Byron York during the GOP debate about being “submissive” to her husband, she gave the response that likely propelled her to victory. I can tell you from first-hand experience that Bachmann is a dynamo and an outstanding speaker. Of course, Perry entered the race today so things are getting very interesting indeed. One thing’s for sure – I don’t care if it’s Bachmann, Perry or Romney, ANY of them would be better than the joke we have sitting in the Oval Office now. ALOHA, ALL!    Michele Bachmann gets migraines.  Big Whoop.  She has also raised 5 kids and 23 foster kids.  But she gets migraines.  She has served in Congress, worked as a tax attorney, and owned a small business.  But she gets migraines.  The lamestream media made such a big deal out of Bachmann’s headaches and the fact that an “unnamed source” claimed she was incapacitated by them.  So I’m wondering:  have we ever seen Barack Obama’s full medical record?  (It’s a rhetorical question – we have not.)  We do know that he smokes….holy Marlboro Man!  Shouldn’t we be concerned about  that???  Give me a break – the sexist media machine is at work once again, showing their disdain toward strong, conservative women.  I STILL say the election of Barack 0bama showed that Americans are indeed post-racial (or even too willing to give a person the benefit of the doubt because he’s non-white.)  Of course, some might validly argue that 0bama has set race relations back 20 years.  But sexism still abounds.  So I couldn’t care less about Bachmann’s migraines – I’m more concerned about the guy in the White House who’s causing us all to have a big, fat headache on a daily basis!

0bama thinks he has all the answers. Narcissist-in-Chief Isn’t Happy: Would be Easier If I Could Do This Debt Thing by Executive Order and By-Pass Those SOBs Boehner and Cantor – Common American Journal  “I’m sympathetic to your view that this would be easier if I could do this entirely on my own. It would mean all these conversations I’ve had over the last three weeks, I could have been spending time with Malia and Sasha instead,” President Obama said at a town hall.  TIME WITH MALIA AND SASHA?????  Give me a break – you’d be out on the golf course!

Speaking of headaches.  I actually saw this on Fox News the other day – it’s great!

Perhaps some of the worst legislation in the history of this country.”  Meanwhile, here’s what he said in 2006 – HE THOUGHT IT WAS OUTRAGEOUS THAT WE MIGHT INCREASE THE DEBT LIMIT TO $9 TRILLION:    HEY HARRY – YOUR DUPLICITY IS SHOWING!!!!!!!

ALOHA, ALL!!  Not enough hours in the day….I missed a conference call with Michele Bachmann yesterday because I was attending another meeting.  RATS!  I met her a few months ago when she came to Hawaii and spoke to Tea Partiers and members of Grassroot Institute of Hawaii.  I was lucky enough to sit at her lunch table – to say I was impressed is an understatement.  (Sidenote:  Michele didn’t eat much – she spent most of the time allotted for eating visiting each one of the 20+ tables of attendees.)  Hearing her speak in person for the first time was amazing – no teleprompter, just hand-written notes she referred to occasionally.  It was the first time I heard of her accomplishments and how she had 23 foster kids.  At the time, I thought to myself  ”no one will ever hear these good things about her because the leftist lamestream media will never let it out.”  But it got out in the GOP candidate’s debate and look where she is now.  Sure, she’ll still get the ridiculous and sexist questions like Chris Wallace asking her if she’s a flake.  Or WaPo calling her “Barbie with fangs.” Nice.  But make no mistake:  the left is afraid of strong, conservative women.  And there are many of us out there, making noise.  Check out the Smart Girl Politics site.  I am conservative woman, hear me roar…. while I reload my gun and wave the Constitution in your face!

The White House did not say how these corporations or universities were selected.”

THE HORROR!  Key Socialist Fears ‘White Working Class’ Could Defeat Obama – Common American Journal  ”There will be a lot of white working class voters showing up at the polls next November, and the degree to which they support (or abandon) President Obama could very well make or break his reelection…”  Guess what, Mr. Brilliant?  It’s not just the “white working class” who think Barry must go!

HDR 117: Why the Left Hates Michele Bachmann

ALOHA, ALL!! Hubby & I had the great pleasure of attending a luncheon with Congresswoman Michele Bachmann on Wednesday.  Did you know she has two law degrees, one in tax law?  Did you know she has five kids of her own and has fostered 23 others?  Or did you have any idea that she worked as a tax attorney in the US Treasury Department for five years?  Of course you didn’t know any of these things because the lamestream media refuses to report anything that would paint her in a positive light. They want you to think she’s fringy and kooky.  That she has no idea what’s she’s talking about and is just one of those racist Tea Party people.  After listening to this woman speak for over 40 minutes (and meeting her personally) I can tell you that she’s the real deal.  In fact, I just had an article published in Hawaii Reporter about the experience, and here’s an excerpt:

I got my birthday present a day early this year – Wednesday I was one of the 200 people who filled the ballroom at the Ala Moana hotel to hear congresswoman Michele Bachmann speak.

She did not disappoint the audience, focusing on issues near and dear to the hearts of many Tea Party folks: Smaller government, decreasing the debt, a balanced budget and repealing Obamacare.

Calling this “The Way Forward,” Bachmann noted in a handout “Imagine a stable economic and political environment where a business person could go to bed at night assured that the rules of the game your business runs by will remain the same in the foreseeable future.”

Imagine, indeed! Bachmann spoke for about 40 minutes, drawing on personal experience, knowledge and a few hand-written notes (not a teleprompter in sight.) She then entertained questions, many asking about how to get Hawaii and the U.S. back on a track to fiscal health. Bachmann isn’t perfect. In fact, one of her recent suggestions has come under fire from disabled military vets.  She has resurrected the concept of reducing veterans’ disability compensation by the amount received in Social Security Disability Income (an idea first developed by the Congressional Budget Office several years ago.)  Bachmann plan would cut veterans benefits – Military News The concept is meant to eliminate duplicate compensation for a single disability.  Someone in the luncheon audience questioned her about this.  Bachmann, to her credit, answered directly, saying that every part of the national budget should be examined. (Who doesn’t think there’s waste in the VA?)  She said her office phones had been ringing off the hook from angry veterans, and she said was open to other options concerning the benefits.  She explained how bringing up this option was a way to open the discussion with the Democrats…a throwing down the gauntlet in a way (my words, not her).  And she expressed how this option was in no way a given.  ”But we need to be willing to start the conversation,” she said.  (Side note: hubby who is retired military talked with her about this briefly while I was standing there.  I could tell from their chat that she is not only re-thinking this idea but would prefer to use other types of cuts to avoid raising the debt ceiling above the current $14.3 trillion.  Make no mistake – this is a woman who loves the military.)

Will she run? She was elusive about that, but I can tell you one thing:  she is a dynamic, inspirational, dedicated, genuine public servant who would be a vast improvement over the current occupant of the White House!  Whatever she decides, Bachmann will be in the public arena for many years to come.  You Betcha!

ALOHA, ALL! Want to see what Astro Turf really looks like?  Just Google all the web postings for the so-called “One Nation Rally” last weekend in DC.  With their pre-fab signs, matching t-shirts and foul mouths, every form of socialist crazy invaded the Mall.  It was over-hyped, over-estimated and over-rated.  Funny how no one in the lamestream media will try to estimate the attendance…in all fairness, they are admitting that Glenn Beck’s 8/28 Restoring Honor rally had more people.  *Gee, thanks*  One of my favorite videos is from Americans for Prosperity….it’s a re-cap of the event to the tune of the Soviet national anthem.  Fitting. Especially when you see the list of the organizations sponsoring the event:  One Nation Working Together (All those groups and that’s all they could get to show up?)

Meanwhile, did you hear ANYTHING on the news about the lefty who assaulted a conservative reporter at the commie-fest?  Of course not.  But it happened, and the rabid woman kept coming back for more:  Reporter Assaulted At Leftist Rally Nice language, too.

And the trash – unbelievable! Aren’t lefty commies supposed to be environmentalists?  In contrast, the Restoring Honor rally left the Mall cleaner than when they started.  So did the various Tea Party rallies.  Protestors Shame America With Trash Left Behind So maybe the pledge of allegiance for all those labor unions, socialists and malcontents who showed up on 10/2 at the “One Nation” slob-fest should be:

What An Honor To Meet Liz Cheney!

I’m A Smart Girl OK, at least last weekend I was smart.  I went to an incredible summit where I had the opportunity to hear Liz Cheney, Michele Bachmann, S.E. Cupp and numerous other conservative women speak.  And I met a ton of other Smart Girls from around the country.  This was the second Smart Girl Summit, put on by a couple of dynamic women (Teri Cristoph & Stacy Mott) and their crew.  They started a web community called Smart Girl Politics in 2008, and it has grown dramatically since then.  Smart Girl Politics is a grass roots organization that promotes the opinions and principles of conservative women. SGP is dedicated to the advancement of conservative women in all levels of public service. Men are more than welcome to join.  I hope to go back to the summit next year!

Must-See Movie! Last week at the Smart Girl Summit, I had the wonderful opportunity to see an early screening of the new documentary, “Fire From the Heartland.”  It’s a blockbuster!  The movie focuses on conservative women across the country and how WE are taking this country back.  With conservative icons like Michele Bachmann, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Phyllis Schlafly, S.E. Cupp and more it will grab your attention from beginning to end.

Another Must-See – “Waiting For Superman.” This documentary focuses on the woeful state of the public school system in our country….a system that the progressives seem to think is fine and will defend with every fiber of their Marxist souls.  ”De Nile” ain’t just a river in Egypt.

Don’t Mess With This Texas Bank.  My friend Steve sent me this story about the Chappell Hill bank.  Apparently, it’s a gun-friendly facility!  A sign on the front door says, “Lawful concealed carry permitted on these premises. Management recognizes  the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution as an inalienable right of all citizens. We therefore support and encourage the carrying of licensed concealed weapons.”  LOVE IT!  Wanna bet that a robber will think twice about going into that bank?  Here’s the rest of the story:  Bank Encourages Second Amendment

Who’s the “Party of NO”? Another great story from my friend Steve:  5 Reasons Why Democrats Are The Real Party of No I keep telling anyone who will listen to me (obviously, no many) that the GOP is actually the “Party of Know” this election season. They know that they better listen to all the fiscal conservative Tea Partiers and turn this ship around tout de suite (Barry would be proud of my French, I’m sure.)  Then again, it’s OK to be the “Party of HELL No” when dealing with Pelosi and her crew.

BREAKING NEWS! The Cleveland Police Patrolmen’s Association has just endorsed Peter Corrigan over Dennis Kucinich!  This is a big deal since apparently they rarely endorse a Republican.  In their letter to Peter they stated:

On behalf of the nearly 1,800 active and retired members of the Cleveland Police Patrolmen’s Association and our families, I am pleased to offer you our enthusiastic endorsement and support for your bid for United States Congress in the mid term 2010 elections.

While you have always been a strong supporter of Law Enforcement, the reasoning behind our support is much more far reaching than that. It is painfully obvious to our Membership and our families that Northeast Ohio HAS NOT been well represented in Ohio’s 10th Congressional District for many years now. The region, the state of Ohio and the Nation have suffered terrible losses due to this lack of leadership.
