ALOHA, ALL! It’s Veterans Day. GOD BLESS ALL WHO HAVE SERVED!!! I can think of no better way to honor them than by including Pete Hegseth’s latest, real-life, boots-on-the-ground report from Afghanistan. THIS is what a patriot looks like! Afghanistan Update #4: Giving Thanks BTW, the Marines just celebrated their 236th birthday. Here’s a great graphic: HolyCoast.com: Happy Birthday, USMC!
Check out this AWESOME Veterans Day Tribute from the band Madison Rising:
It’s countdown to the Super Committee deadline. What’s gonna happen? This is a no-brainer and it was from Day 1. Defense will be cut. Happy about that? While I’m sure certain left-wing zombies (and Ron Paul supporters) are saying “Far out, man….make love not war, ” it’s a disaster. Like I’ve said many times in the past several years, I don’t believe in coincidences anymore. Anything coming out of Washington is planned by some very devious individuals who only care about promoting their own agendas – the country be damned! You MUST watch this video from a Research Fellow at The Heritage Foundation. It puts it all in perspective regarding defense spending and how DoD has already made more than its “fair share” of cuts. Still think the Super Committee will come together and sing Kumbaya? GOP accuses Democrats of breaking off debt talks in supercommittee – TheHill.com ”Republicans have charged Democrats with breaking off talks on the deficit-reduction supercommittee less than two weeks before the panel’s deadline to reach a deal. The GOP accuses Democratic leaders of abruptly reining in their appointees after Republicans made a serious offer to reduce the deficit through tax reforms that would lower tax rates while eliminating or reducing tax deductions.”
Time for Perry to ride into the sunset. GOP Debate a Death Knell for Perry? | FrontPage Magazine ”The two big takeaways from last night’s Republican presidential debate are universally-acknowledged: Rick Perry’s embarrassing gaffe probably puts the last nail in the coffin of his campaign and the sexual harassment allegations against Herman Cain have earned him huge sympathy from primary voters.”
More Cain stuff – be sure to read the Ann Coulter article! I wanna be her when I grow up…..
BTW, I’ve made up my mind who I think the GOP nominee should be. Any guesses? I’ll reveal at a later time. In my mind, this person is the clear choice to clean up the floor with B/B S/O (Barry/Barack Soetoro/0bama.)
Ho Ho Ho – How about another tax? Obama Couldn’t Wait: His New Christmas Tree Tax ”President Obama’s Agriculture Department today announced that it will impose a new 15-cent charge on all fresh Christmas trees—the Christmas Tree Tax—to support a new Federal program to improve the image and marketing of Christmas trees.” A tax on Christmas trees to start a new campaign to promote Christmas trees. Brilliant.
Buckeyes blew it. (I HATE saying that!) Defeat of OH Issue 2 Means $1,468 More Per Taxpayer By 2015 ”Matt Mayer of the Buckeye Institute has done the math on what a defeat of Issue 2 will cost Ohio’s taxpayers. Turns out it will cost taxpayers $1,468 more a year by 2015.”
Final Thought: ”A committee is a group of the unwilling chosen from the unfit, to do the unnecessary.” Unknown Source

ALOHA, ALL! I thought I’d continue the Halloween theme today since there are plenty of scary things happening around the country that don’t just end on October 31.
Nightmares on Wall Street: ‘Occupy’ Protest loses permit due to public masturbation…and More Click on the link to see a compilation of OWS incidents around the country….and the list is not even comprehensive, for sure. And they are supposedly just like the Tea Party? Right. Trick or Treat – the OWS group is full of tricks and no treats. And for an official list of the OWS zombie supporters, click HERE (Thanks, Cindy!)
Nancy Nitwit will scare anyone (and she doesn’t even need a costume). She thinks the NLRB should be able to shut down private sector plants just because they aren’t unionized:
Fast and Furious getting more furious: Top Justice Dept. Official Admits ‘Mistake’ in Ignoring ATF’s ‘Unacceptable Tactics’ ”At first glance,” Grassley said, “the documents indicate that contrary to previous denials by the Justice Department, the criminal division has a great deal of culpability in sweeping the previous Wide Receiver strategy under the rug and then allowing the subsequent Operation Fast and Furious to continue without asking key questions.”
Why Cain’s “sexual harassment” charge shows the media are vampires. Herman Cain Makes Sexual Harassment Taboo Again ”If randy sexual behavior is OK for Democrats, why is the accusation against Cain a legitimate news item? Oh, that’s right — he’s a Republican who’s gaining popularity and poses an election threat to the media’s current darling. Suddenly sexual aberrance is wrong again.”
RIP to another “Green” company. Government Backed Beacon Power Corp Files for Bankruptcy ”When the government-backed Solyndra filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, policymakers supportive of the loan-guarantee program said variations of the following: “If this were a venture capital firm and only one out of 10 projects failed, they would be a great success.” That would be fine if it were private money, not taxpayer money. But now a second company is going under.”
And to protect yourself from all those ghosts and goblins: This guy’s been called every kind of nasty name you can imagine because of this radio ad. Frankly, I think he’s exercising his right to free speech. It’s his training program and he can train whomever he wants!!!! (Wonder if Pelosi will step in and make him unionize. Thanks to Scott for the link.)
Ah, but just wait til those skeletons come out of the closet! Jonathan Alter: Obama has miraculously remained free of scandal « Hot Air ”In a fawning opinion piece for Bloomberg, author and columnist Jonathan Alter writes glowingly of “The Obama Miracle” — the supposed lack of scandal in the White House under Obama’s purportedly upstanding leadership.”
Final Thought: ”All the gossip and craziness becomes a kind of sustained narrative which, in turn, can become history. It’s scary.” Barbara Kruger, Artist
