So Far, So Bad
1. Benghazi was a direct effort to change the facts surrounding an attack by al Qaeda, making it look as an anti-American demonstration caused by a U-TUBE assembled by an Egyptian American. An attack that MAY have caught administration by surprise, but whose cover-up may have begun before the attack ended. The coverup of these facts continued for weeks, allowing the crime scene in Benghazi to go stale and the leaders to escape unmolested despite heavy losses. Of the four American lives lost, parents and loved ones attending their funeral were variously but directly lied to by Obama, Hillary, and VP Biden regarding the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
2. The IRS scandal is still developing (but widening by the hour). It appears to be a widely coordinated effort by or through the IRS to delay or intimidate groups (and now individuals) that advocated policies in opposition to present federal government initiatives. Evidence is now also emerging that the IRS may only have been just one agency targeting political opponents. Other agencies abusing their powers may have included: The Department of Agriculture, EPA, FCC, SEC, and others. If true, it would be the most widespread abuse of an administration and political party directed at another in history and far more chilling than previous instances (like Watergate) because of its breadth and scope and the possible willingness of federal bureaucrats to execute.
3. The AP scandal is sill developing. It involves the use of a secret subpoena by the Department of Justice used to record activity (calls made and received) of over 200 reporters. Attorney General Holder, a man of low repute and fixer of the Clinton pardon of fugitive Marc Rich, has recused himself from the investigation.

Hypocrisy involves the deception of others and is thus a kind of lie. Not to be confused with Hippocrates or Hypocorism. (Wikipedia) The Obama administration is the epitome of hypocrisy. OK…yes I know most politicians are hypocritical. But Obama and his administration make all others look like saints. And here’s a recent example. Obama said this in 1996 about how the average American feels about political donors getting access to politicians: ”They can’t attend a $10,000 breakfast and they know that those who can are going to get the kind of access they can’t imagine.” Well Barry sure has changed in 16 years: Hypocrisy and White House Opens Doors to Big Donors ”Although Mr. Obama has made a point of not accepting contributions from registered lobbyists, a review of campaign donations and White House visitor logs shows that special interests have had little trouble making themselves heard. Many of the president’s biggest donors, while not lobbyists, took lobbyists with them to the White House, while others performed essentially the same function on their visits.” So step right up, folks! Finally, the icing on the cake is a report from the New York Times that I just came across, which details how the EPA is fining businesses for failing to use a type of biofuel that is not commercially available: When the companies that supply motor fuel close the books on 2011, they will pay about $6.8 million in penalties to the Treasury because they failed to mix a special type of biofuel into their gasoline and diesel as required by law. But there was none to be had. Outside a handful of laboratories and workshops, the ingredient, cellulosic biofuel, does not exist: “A Fine for Not Using A Biofuel That Doesn’t Exist,” New York Times, 9-Jan-2012.

What could possibly make Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, David Axelrod, Jim Messina, Joe Biden and numerous other “defenders of women” come out on the same day and throw a woman under the bus? That woman letting the cat out of the bag. Here’s the thing: the left has always had a disdain for stay-at-home moms. Remember Hillary Clinton’s famous remark about how she’s not staying home baking cookies? After all, that would mean she’s doing menial things like preparing meals for a family and tending to basic household needs. People like Hillary have nannies for those unimportant tasks!!!! So now another Hilary (hmmm…odd coincidence), Hilary Rosen (with one l – apparently she wasn’t named after a famous mountain climber like Clinton was) has a moment of complete candor and the Democrat spin machine goes into full tizzy mode. LOVE. IT!

She runs Rosie O’Donnell’s production company. Oh…I see she also graduated from the University of Hawaii.)

ALOHA, ALL!!! So with all the news this week, here’s a blockbuster story you never heard: Malia Obama took a Spring Break vacation to Mexico. I know….why such a big deal? Well, it MUST be a big deal because all the news outlets have either hidden or scrapped the story! Why would they do that, you say? Think about it: the country is suffering through a bad economy. Gas prices are ridiculously high. Unemployment and under-employment remain troubling. The deficit is at all-time high. Yet Barry is out promoting himself as one of the people …the best hope to get us out of our slump. Can you imagine if after reporting one of his fundraiser, er, energy speeches the next news story showed Malia tanning on a Mexican beach? (Oh, by the way, you’re paying for Malia to frolic in the sun with her friends and 25 Secret Service agents.) What’s troubling is that this story was initially reported and then scrubbed from numerous sites (so much for the most transparent administration in history.) OK…kids are off-limits? Then why does Barry trot them out when it’s to his political advantage (like the smiling family on the cover of a magazine) but squashes a story that might make he and his family look out-of-touch? Oh yeah….Mexico????? Would you let your teenaged daughter go there for Spring break? I guess if a couple dozen armed agents went along for the ride….
