An obscure November 2012 Wikileaks email dump points to former White House counterterrorism adviser and now-CIA chief John Brennan as the person behind the “witch hunt” of journalists who reported unflattering Obama administration leaks.
A little over a week after President Barack Obama’s reelection, Wikileaks released an email dump of global intelligence files from the private intelligence company Stratfor. One particular email, dated September 21, 2010 discussed President Obama’s “Leak Investigations.”
The Massachusetts ACLU tweeted out a link that referenced the email and the president’s “war on whistleblowers” on November 15, 2012. The tweet only received two re-tweets after sitting online for seven months. Stratfor’s VP for Intelligence, Fred Burton, declined to comment for this story.
The Obama administration has faced criticism not only for seizing phone records of 20 Associated Press reporters but also monitoring private emails and phone calls of Fox News Reporter James Rosen.
The story began to unfold when documents related to an investigation of former State Department contractor Stephen Jin-Woo Kim were recently released. Kim was accused of violating the Espionage Act for allegedly leaking classified information to Rosen.
According to a legal filing, the Washington Post reported the Obama Justice Department described the Fox News reporter as a an “aider, and abettor, and/or co-conspirator” in the case.
The public filing shows the first defense letter was filed in the case seven days before the September 21 Stratfor email regarding Brennan’s “witch hunt” on investigative journalists was sent.

James Rosen of Fox News and at least two others were targeted because they were doing their jobs? There is a coordinated effort on behalf of this administration to go after its “enemies” – people who don’t agree with them. And we need to look no further than Valerie Jarrett to figure out who’s pulling the strings. I have NO DOUBT that she is orchestrating ALL of this, along with the rest of the Chicago cabal of Axelrod and Plouff. But guess what, Valerie? Payback time hasn’t even started yet.

What will it take?
As you go through these and the headlines of other news you read daily, it is useful to remember if you are over 50 that the charges being levied against Barrack Obama are at least equal to those against Richard Nixon. Yes, some have not been proven with a ‘smoking gun.’ The IRS scandal, for instance. However, and repeating history again, Nixon did not actually get the IRS to cooperate with his attack on enemies. He resigned when it was shown he had attempted to do so. That so many groups and individuals have already come out and shown they were audited or prevented from organizing under 501(c)(4), it appears there was a massive (and successful) operation to suppress the vote.
And if bold faced lies about serious matters like the IRS scandal, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, or spying on reporters, are your forte, Barry has been caught dishing them out almost unchallenged. Eventually the weight of those lies, if not the rapidity of them, will be sufficient to begin calls for his removal. Joe Biden be damned. It is that serious.
Finally, the nation is now squarely in dangerous times. Despite the uncovering of rampant corruption and intimidation at the highest levels of government, leaders in both parties are trying to quickly pass legislation that could add up to 33 million currently illegal immigrants into an already over-taxed social welfare system that includes hospitals, schools, law enforcement, and food stamps, to name just a few. Stopping this juggernaut with insufficient protections to our border needs opposition similar to Obamacare, with a reminder to those representatives and senators that would vote for it that it will cost them their jobs. Obama’s corruption isn’t a distraction, but it makes focus on this potential sea change all the more important. It is very Alinsky-like to use multiple crises to take people’s attention away from things.

Here we go again.
With today’s Sunday network talk shows we can see the time-worn Clintonian strategy (insert: old story, irrelevant, no there, there, etc.) developing right before our eyes. It only works through cooperation of democrats and media opinion shapers.
Because Obama is a left wing liberal (a mild description) the media will only go so far with uncovering all his corruption (don’t forget, they leaked on themselves about IRS, likely to take heat off Benghazi). Even now, far left and left-of center news organizations are asking the ‘are-we-being-too-tough-on-Obama?’ questions. And if polls don’t move toward a compelling reason to investigate the corruption the heavy lifting will fall to the Republicans. And we know how they can be accused of conducting a ‘witch hunt.’
A similar pattern emerged during Watergate. The average Joe supported Nixon. But the constant drone of media personalities like Daniel Shore, Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw, and others eventually changed perceptions that led to Nixon’s fall. Don’t forget, Nixon won re-election with 49 of 50 states in the 1972 election. Two years later, the US media helped remove him from office, heralding the era of ‘investigative’ journalism.
It may just work. Ever see the twisted relationships between Obama and the media? Like a revolving door! And there is a lot of off-the-record spinning going on between the administration with sympathic reporters. Even this week, the New York Times was caught red handed changing a headline showing the WH knew about these IRS abuses before the 2012 election, only to have that changed to words to the effect that the ‘GOP is savoring the attack.’ Not even subtle bias.
So, unless there are more revelations, count on this being a long hot summer. And don’t be frustrated if you notice the media back to carrying Obama’s water. Afterall, exposing him and his entire agenda as corruption personified will be painful for those most sympathetic to the cause.

White House Disables Snitch Line
Following a furor over how the data would be used, the White House has shut down an electronic tip box — flag@whitehouse.gov — that was set up to receive information on “fishy” claims about President Barack Obama’s health plan.
E-mails to that address now bounce back with the message: “The e-mail address you just sent a message to is no longer in service. We are now accepting your feedback about health insurance reform via http://www.whitehouse.gov/realitycheck.”
The “flag” service was introduced Aug. 4, with a White House blog post saying: “There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.”
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said at a briefing shortly after the service launched: “We’re not collecting names from those e-mails. … All we’re asking people to do is if they’re confused about what health care reform is going to mean to them, we’re happy to help clear that up for you. Nobody is keeping anybody’s names.”
Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, wrote a letter to Obama raising privacy concerns about what the senator called an “Obama monitoring program.”
“I can only imagine the level of justifiable outrage had your predecessor asked Americans to forward e-mails critical of his policies to the White House,” Cornyn wrote. “So I urge you to cease this program immediately.”
In a later statement, Cornyn said: “Of course the White House is collecting names. … It is inevitable. Anyone with access to the flag@whitehouse.gov account has access to the names and email addresses that are collected in that account. … How are they purging names and e-mail addresses from this account to protect privacy?”

In a tacit acknowledgment of some new media missteps, the White House made changes to its White House’s “Reality Check” website this week after anger that some people were receiving unsolicited emails generated from the White House, and suggestions from a Republican senator that the White House was using an email address to compile a list of political opponents.
White House Director of Media Macon Phillips writes in a blog post that the irony is that the website, which tried to clear up misinformation caused by “fear-mongering” has now become the subject of the same beast.
“An ironic development is that the launch of an online program meant to provide facts about health insurance reform has itself become the target of fear-mongering and online rumors that are the tactics of choice for the defenders of the status quo,” Phillips writes.
Macon says that it has come to his attention that some people may have been added to the White House email list without their knowledge, “likely as a result of efforts by outside groups of all political stripes” and that they regret any inconvenience it has caused.

Now we’re seeing all over the press and especially the blogosphere that this could indeed be the case. Thursday, the House voted 229-195 to repeal Obamacare. Is it a symbolic vote with no teeth? Of course…at least for now. But if the IRS scandal continues to grow, look for the GOP to use the Dems’ support for Obamacare against them in 2014. As this festers and gets more ugly, the GOP will have a good chance to win the Senate next year. Rendering the Emperor Who Has No Clothes utterly powerless. If he lasts that long. Obama Finds Use for Marines (Hillary Used Them to Hold Food Platters at White House Soirees) Important to note: According to Marine Corps regulation MCO P1020.34F of the Marine Corps Uniform Regulations chapter 3, a male Marine is not allowed to carry an umbrella while in uniform. There is no provision in the Marine Corps uniform regulation guidelines that allows a male Marine to carry an umbrella. But why would Barry, the Commander in Chief, care about that?
ALOHA, ALL!! With the latest blockbuster news about the DOJ wiretapping the cloakroom of the House of Representatives, I’m truly wondering if anyone will go to jail due to these numerous scandals. Frankly, I think all the responsibility (Benghazi, IRS, wiretapping) falls at the highest level in this administration. Did Barack Obama himself give orders related to all these scandals? Perhaps not, but he is the President….the Commander in Chief…the one ultimately responsible for what happens in his administration. Did you know the “acting” chief the IRS – Steven Miller – who resigned was only there temporarily and scheduled to leave in June anyhow? So much for Barry’s big press conference announcing those responsible would be held accountable (and I would be willing to bet Steven Miller is headed for another cushy government job.)
So should take responsibility? I saw Frank VanderSloot interviewed by Neil Cavuto the other day. VanderSloot is a wealthy businessman who was targeted by the Obama campaign and harassed by the IRS prior to the election last year….because he donated to Mitt Romney’s campaign. He was on Obama’s “Enemies List” of 8 individuals who were large Romney donors. 8 weeks after Obama released the list, VanderSloot was audited by the IRS…then the Department of Labor…then the IRS again. He spent $80,000 defending himself.
Mr. VanderSloot thinks the responsibility rests squarely with Obama. He says, ” When President Obama tacks this target on my back and makes this list of 8 people, who’s supposed to be paying attention? Is it just the liberal press that’s supposed to come out and ruin our reputations…or are the federal agencies supposed to come after us? I don’t think he (the President) called them up and said ‘go get em’ – he doesn’t have to…all he has to do is make the list. I think it was egregious…it’s unfair for President Obama to nail the target up there and then say if people shoot at the target ‘I’m gonna go after them.’…He has to expect something is going to happen – he put the list up.”
Indeed. All Obama has to do is make the list. Or call his opponents ‘enemies.’ In typical gangsta style, his minions do his dirty work.
1. Benghazi was a direct effort to change the facts surrounding an attack by al Qaeda, making it look as an anti-American demonstration caused by a U-TUBE assembled by an Egyptian American. An attack that MAY have caught administration by surprise, but whose cover-up may have begun before the attack ended. The coverup of these facts continued for weeks, allowing the crime scene in Benghazi to go stale and the leaders to escape unmolested despite heavy losses. Of the four American lives lost, parents and loved ones attending their funeral were variously but directly lied to by Obama, Hillary, and VP Biden regarding the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
2. The IRS scandal is still developing (but widening by the hour). It appears to be a widely coordinated effort by or through the IRS to delay or intimidate groups (and now individuals) that advocated policies in opposition to present federal government initiatives. Evidence is now also emerging that the IRS may only have been just one agency targeting political opponents. Other agencies abusing their powers may have included: The Department of Agriculture, EPA, FCC, SEC, and others. If true, it would be the most widespread abuse of an administration and political party directed at another in history and far more chilling than previous instances (like Watergate) because of its breadth and scope and the possible willingness of federal bureaucrats to execute.
3. The AP scandal is sill developing. It involves the use of a secret subpoena by the Department of Justice used to record activity (calls made and received) of over 200 reporters. Attorney General Holder, a man of low repute and fixer of the Clinton pardon of fugitive Marc Rich, has recused himself from the investigation.
Of these three scandals, the IRS abuses appear to be the most widespread and involving the highest number of people. That means the greatest potential for individuals to come forward seeking immunity, or with knowledge of criminal actions. It also strikes a chord for the so-called low information people. They may not understand a cover-up and treachery in a land far away. And most don’t understand issues around Freedom of the Press and Speech. But they understand the IRS coming after them or making life miserable, simply because the guy in power wants to destroy them politically.
